Re: Living the Dream with AutoBlogs
I have been wanting to get off the godaddy hosting band waggon what do you thing about hosting on Media Temple? I really like the look and feel of godaddy which hosts about 25 blogs of mine. I am looking to scale up to about 300 in the next few months, but one Big problem with godaddy (and many more) you cannot have more than one dedicated ip per hosting account! This is a problem. I cant stand having 8 hosting accounts open through godaddy just to get a different ip addy. I would just lov to switch over to media temple. They look great! Without hijacking this thread) can anyone suggest were I should host 25-300 blogs with this info. This may help too for those looking to setup some serious blogs. Thanks!

Re: Living the Dream with AutoBlogs
@184 I am trying to give you a suggestion - please bear in mind I did not read yet another thread on autoblogging and I am not endorsing the hosting company I will suggest. It's something I noticed about hosting multiple domains in a shared account with Dreamhost - they are different compared to other hosts I use, because my domains are allocated to different IPs, in a way that is totally outside my control. This is a reason for complaints about DH on some forums (the fact that they might move your domain to another IP without telling you), but for me it was a pleasant surprise SEO-wise. MT is another kind of beast - their GRID service is not that reliable (or at least it was not in 2008, when I dropped them after several outages that took days to fix), and once you get hit with major traffic you will see it in your monthly bill. I suggest to move domains there carefully and keep an eye on the level of resources required. Good luck!

Re: Living the Dream with AutoBlogs
Thanks for the quick reply. So does everyone agree hosting this many autoblogs on godaddy would be a bad thing. I just want to get down all my basics before I go out and start building some serious blogs. I dont want to have problems down the road.

Darksorrow,
What did youmean by this:
4) Create a final target page. This can be an affiliate page, a sales type blog, or anything you want to shove traffic at.
What would the purpose be exactly?

Re: Living the Dream with AutoBlogs
Ok I have read this thread 3 times over now just to make sure I have not missed a detail. I have many autoblogs up now but I am going to start over with this method.
Sorry many Questions, please help:
1. I have been studying the diagram (Awesome share man!!!). I thought that I had full understanding on it but now I seem to be lost on the sub-niches. Originally I saw your pic as buy 5 domains and create 5 sub-domains. But now I am confused as how the sub-niche columns work in the picture.
2. After completing all these blogs IF I was to follow your diagram I would end up with 25 blogs? Or would it be 30? Are you making a blog on the primary yourdomain.com and then 5 extra sub-domains to make a total of 30 blogs based on your diagram?
3. Ip's... I am purchasing a virtual dedicated server to host all of these blogs. Should I choose 5 ip's, 1 for each yourname.com domain or for each sub-niche?
So, sorry for all the questions I am sure that you have more important things to get to but it will help me out a lot getting these few things cleared up first before I put countless hours into this new project. I hope this answers some questions other are having here too. Thanks for your time!! I have been working day in day out for 4 years now. Nothing will stop me until I find what I am looking for. Time, Tears, Sweat, and Motivation is what keeps me going. I’m burned out, but that won't stop me. I will just keep working everyday and every hour until I find success. I can only hope I can soon join you in 'Living The Dream'.

IF you have some autoblogs now then you must develop your own success sauce or twist. Once you find something that works, do more of it. if it works for 5 blogs it will make more with 10 or 20 etc....

Awesome thread, thanked.
Do you use the same adsense account for each blog and your target site?
Or are you using multiple adsense accounts?

I'm glad you uploaded the link farm layout. I really needed that for my future greyhat adsense empire. Check out my thread on the subject.

Re: Living the Dream with AutoBlogs
I have all my blogs hosting at UmbraHosting.com for a very cheap price and have no problem over the last 3 years. Some of my blogs are generating over 500 UVs/day and my income is about $30/day in total. It is not much comparing to some others but I'm pleased with it.

Re: Living the Dream with AutoBlogs
This thread was actually one of the most useful I've ever seen here.
I'm going to try autoblogging. After checking hosts, I found that Seo-host would be the most advisable to get 5 differente IPs - 1 for each domain.
The problem is their price (I'm just starting) so I think I'll stick with hostgator for my first farm.
Congrats for the info you posted and for all the questions you asked.

Re: Living the Dream with AutoBlogs
I hope you are running a few adsense accounts with a lot of whitehat sites on each, because Google WILL ban you otherwise.

The way I understand it, being offshore often won't save you anymore, because US authorities can just blacklist all your host's traffic if they ignore the takedown. Feel free to try it though, and report back. Last time I wasted my time with publicly visible DMCA content, the letters arrived within 48 hours.
