Re: Living the Dream with AutoBlogs
Hey people, what Darksorrow outlines here DOES work and it works well.
Yeah, you don't know me from nobody but, I've been using this same technique to bank for about the last 5 years. It's a form of what Michael Campbell made popular in 2003 in "Revenge of the Mini-net."
Want a copy of that?
Code:
http://www.revengeofthemininet.com/rev/
ROTM worked in 2003 and it STILL works today.
You can make your sites with adsense or CB products or CPA offers or pretty much whatever you want. It's entirely up to you.
For your free sites, keep in mind, the google LOVES itself *hint*hint* so, if you use blogger blogs, it WILL get picked up.
DS gave y'all a HUGE clue in his original post, too. Medical related niches are HOT! Go for cure or remedy sub-niches. People have a problem and they're looking for a cure. The deeper you drill into a sub-niche, the better your conversions will be.
So, get off your butts and get busy. Don't just keep asking questions about how much someone else makes or if something works or not... try it yourself and find out!

There I have an advantage, I do work in a data center and one of the perks is the ability to drop in a few servers for "personal" hosting.
So far everything is cool. I am planning on getting a server at another location to expand my blogfarm.

They are my own servers. I just purchased a few Dell Poweredge 2850's drop a few IPs on different subnets on them and I was good to go.

Re: Living the Dream with AutoBlogs
I am using latest version of wordpress, apache and php, but when i activate Unique Article Wizard i get this error...
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Installation Error: The UAW Control Panel needs a PHP function called CURL to work. Please contact your hosting provider and ask them to install it for you. (It is not a big request for you to make). If you have any questions about this, please contact us.
Do you have any idea guys?

@darksorrow
I'm sorry to bother the post however what's the total number of blogs used in this case study?
when you say it's necessary to have different IP's. you mean that you need to have each website hosting in different webhosting providers?
thanks

I made 60 blogs in two different niches (30 in each niche). I for each sub-niche column I used a different IP in a different subnet. So 5 total IPS.
Good luck!

I am no expert on niche keyword research, its definetly an artform.
But what I did was get a broad niche, lets take Credit Debt as an example. I then used G*@g!e Keyword tool to generate around 30-40 keywords that didn't seem to have much competition.
Then I grouped those keywords into 5 different sub-niches, such as:
Credit Card debt
Debt Management
Debt reduction
Getting out of debt
Credit Help
By linking all these subniches and related comment together my goal is to show links to related sites without duplicating content and have good link diversity. Also to drive traffic to my target site with a related niche for the big payoff.
Remember this is an example. Be specific on your sub-niche's, don't go to general.

I get my sources from several places. If you want something easy get Caffeinated Content, Unique Aritcle wizard, and Autoblogger.
Find some rss feeds by doing a search on google for "rss feeds" and select some that meet your needs.
Use Caffeinated Content to pull from blogs, Yahoo, and Youtube.
Be sure to check them every few days to make sure that there aren't any funky articles and you should be good.
Good luck.

You have to make sure that the RSS Feeds you use are delivering full articles.
Or...Use http://www.rssmix.com/ to add a few together. Just started using it, but its pretty cool. Check around on here, there are so many ways to get good content. Try a couple out and use what works for you.
Good luck!

Re: Living the Dream with AutoBlogs
Don't you have 6 domains for each niche? Your target page is your sales page which is a domain and then 5 sub-niches that each have a .com site as well?
Do you use .com, .info?
You use a different ip for each domain as well?
So, each domain has 5 blogs that are your sub-niches. Do you use sub domains for each .com? Example - medical.com skincancer.medical.com?

I would suggest spreading your blogs out on different hosts and providers as much as possible. Throw in a blogger blog or squidoo lens every so often.
I try to get at least 3 different IPs on different Class C networks. I recently chatted with someone who has two hosting providers and does a mix of each provider, blogger, and squidoo lenses.
Diversity on your autoblog linking is KEY! That is why I originally made the chart in this post.
I would suggest:
-Not linking the same IP to the same IP (If possible)
-Not linking the same subdomain to the subdomain on the same domain
-Link common sub-niches with common sub-niches but not too similar of content.
Just keep it organized, diverse in your platform and linking, and pick a good niche and you will be golden.
Good Luck!

In my first blog farm I used 5 .infos and the second 5 .coms.
I used 3 IPs on different Class C subnets and rotated them by assigning them to the sub-niche column on my chart.
For the target page I just picked a good domain name out of the 5 and used it as domain.com and www.domain.com and built a sales page.
An broad example for my domain naming
Target Site: www.medical.com
Subniche1: Young looking skin
skincare.medical.com
reverseoldskin.medical.com
keepskinyoung.medical.com
ageingskin.medical.com
younglookingskin.medical.com
Subniche2: Dry skin
dryskinhelp.medical2.com
eczemaskin.medical2.com
helpwithdryness.medical2.com
hydrateyourskin.medical2.com
scratchyskin.medical2.com
<Repeat with 3 more sub-niches>
Then create a few blogger accounts to help protect and diversify your main site and create quality/diverse links within your blog.
One of the goals when I made my chart was to move search engines and views through my blogfarm and show diverse content within the same niche.
Hope that helps. Good Luck!

Try the "All in One Adsense and YPN" plugin. Its a pretty good alternative.

And another one, how do you link, just simple blogroll links, or it's within the text or there is the plugin for showing "useful links". According to the chart you link like 3-4 times per blog, or what?

check out the diagram attached to the first post that will give you my basic diagram. to link multi-farms/niches together...link the edges or blogger/squidoo/main sites. Remember to keep links organized and don't do to many or you will get flagged quick.

I forgot to mention that, I usually just put up a simple squeeze page to a product or the main site. Something simple, something static, something for authenticity, but don't really use it for linking.

I link on the simple blogroll links. The Kontera plugin makes links within the text so I try not to incorporate to many links.
Each blog get 2-3 links, I do this to make sure my links don't look to spammy and I make sure they go to different sub-niches that are related so they seem useful and the risk of duplicate info is less.

Thanks for the great post. I read the thread many times, but I'm not sure about this part..what do you mean by "rotated them by assigning them to the sub-niche column on my chart."
Do you mean setting up like this over 3 different class c networks?
220.15.10.1 --- subdomain1.domain.com
220.16.11.2 --- subdomain2.domain.com
220.17.11.3 --- subdomain3.domain.com
what about subdomain 4 and 5?
I'm very confused over this, and have searched g00gle for information, but its all too technical for me...so I hope to get some confirmation for you guys

Re: Living the Dream with AutoBlogs
Top stuff darksorrow. Perfect for what I am up to at the minute.
I'm sure I didn't miss this but what do you put on the "FreeService" sites on the top edge of your chart? Do you worry about dup content on those or just copy something from one of the other blogs.
Any you mentioned that you add your "Target Site" to one of the other 5 domain's (I think)? Just wanted to confirm this. Ideally I guess you would want 6 different class C IP's.
Thanks again.

Re: Living the Dream with AutoBlogs
Excellent post Darksorrow! Lots of great info in this thread and it's all really encouraging!
But I did have a question for ya DS; are you using one adsense/CB/CPA .etc account(s) for your whole blogfarm or do you have multiples for all 60 blogs?

Re: Living the Dream with AutoBlogs
I agree, nice guide Darksorrow, I have not started interlinking my blogs as yet but intend to and the pdf will help with this nicely. Something i am lazy at is having things well documented, but once done help me work so much faster!

Re: Living the Dream with AutoBlogs
sorry if I'm going to ask a stupid question.
but since I got banned from adsense..
what would be the best ad network to use with autoblogs?
to actually earn some money.

Re: Living the Dream with AutoBlogs
Cool stuff thanks. But I don't get it in the first post you post your earning and there all from adense and the other network but you talk about getting everyone to your main page? YOu don't have adsense on all pages just the main page?

Re: Living the Dream with AutoBlogs
For the free service you can use anything. Squidoo, blogger, knol, anything just to mix it up a little.
Its my opinion that throwing these in the mix help with search engine indexing and help add a layer uniqueness in your links.
As for the dup content, I don't really worry about it. I try for everything to be unique but the reality of an autoblog that all my content comes from other sources and natively is not unique. So I focus on linking and combining sources such as adding video to an article to be effective.
