Planning to start a classified website but don't know ins and out of it.

1. What is the best script to use on classified websites
2. How to promote these classified websites.
3. Any other things that needs to be taken care of other than above mentioned things.

Anybody has experience with these kind of websites , please share your ideas.
BTW going to start this in India.

Is it a local classified site? If so then advertise in the local paper, billboards, fliers, etc. I'm in the early stages of setting one up geared towards our local military base. I plan to advertise the site in the base paper.

Yes It will be local classified site.

Promote on Craigslist

Why not you promote to other classifiied sites so people looking for these types of sites are attracted.
