Hi there guys,

Just made an autoblog using 000webhost to try it without money spending.
But when installing wordpress in public folder the result is:
vvv.xxxxxxx/site11.com/wordpress
and not
vvv.xxxxxxx/site11.com (that's to say a normal subdomain).
How to solve that?

P.S.: Is there a company of free hosting better than 000webhost to install wordpress for free?

You're obviously sure that you didn't let the installer pick a directory and its name for the script?

Just checking, I don't use 000webhost since it closed an account of mine for no apparent reason...

Since they're a free host you should expect.errors and downtime. Ive used them before when I was starting out and you can build successful sites but don't expect much in rankings with their subdomains

Oh and just unzip the wordpress archive in your public folder. It will create a folder called wordpress.for you

Well guys, the fact is that 000webhost does not have a fuctioning installer for wordpress; it's up to you to install the wordpress files in the "public" folder; but doing so the result will be vvv.xxxxxxx/site11.com/wordpress
and not
vvv.xxxxxxx/site11.com.
SO? Any answer about this?

I'm assuming you just unzipped the folder and uploaded what was inside it.

Upload the files which are inside the wordpress folder, not the whole wordpress folder, and you'll have your website at vvv.xxxxxxx/site11.com instead of vvv.xxxxxxx/site11.com/wordpress

I dont think i would ever use free hosting if they dont like you they will just chuck you i wouldn't worry to much about things not working.

I can't log in to my 000webhost account using FileZilla actually, but I'm not banned. Anyone know what you enter for host/username/pass ?
