Hello Everyone!

I am just curious. Since there are a lot of freelancers offering their writing service, and prices differs from one company to company, I just want to know how much do/can you really charge for a unique content? Let's say a 500 word...just to set everything uniformly.

Will the topic be a factor when charging? Example: product reviews, press release, blog posts, etc....

Thanks for your thoughts!

Rates vary widely; it's a market of buyers and sellers. If your content is outstanding, you would be hurting yourself in the long run to do something like $0.50 per 100 words. Feel free to go low in the beginning to build clientele, but when you get a reputation, set a rate that conveys the quality of your labor.

I never accept anything less than $1 per 100 words, with clients I am doing new business with .. When you establish a good relationship with your clients and you can constantly supply content reliably, then you can start charging more! I had one client paying me $2.50 per 100 words

Depends who your customers are.

If you sell directly to webmasters you're going to struggle to charge a premium.

I did some writing in the past and used to charge $20/100 words. It's just a case of positioning yourself correctly and it certainly helps if you're an "expert" on certain subjects.
