something.mysite.com Can I do with WP
I'd like to offer my affiliate deals in a domain as such:
forks.mysitecom
spoons.mysitecom
knives.mysitecom
Can I do this with WordPress and/or freehostingcom?
I don't know how to describe this to google, I really just need to know if it can be done, and where I should look.

Never heard of the plugin above, but if it works it sounds easy enough.
Another way to do it is install Wordpress Multisite (previously known as WPMU). There's a plugin that makes it really easy, and you can manage all the sites from a Network Admin.
I've never used your host before, but they should support it.

You can simple add subdomains from Hosting Cpanel and then add Wordpress on newly created subdomain .

Re: something.mysite.com Can I do with WP
Wordpress MU is now included in Wordpress 3.0, you just have to enable it in config.php file. Google for some tutorial, there are tons of them.
btw. you also need the possibility to edit .htaccess so make sure your hosting allows it. And you need to set wildcard character to your domain records.
*.domain.com redirects to domain.com

yes you can do it, after creating sub domains first then install wordpress

Re: something.mysite.com Can I do with WP
blah.something.com is called a "subdomain", it is essentially a separate domain contained within the "top domain"
most any host will be able to do this through the control panel. cheap plans are often limited though.
once you set it up youll have another directory in your FTP server that you just use like any other domain.

You can do it with subdomains. Hope this works for you. Tell me though, how are you planning to promote these sites? Would really love to hear your thoughts on this.
