I am getting last 3 days shit loads of spam comments, here are few examples:

Who the hell are this spamers? They promoting bing, google, facebook? What is the point building backlinks to this pages?

Its scrapebox and people are posting to check if your page is autoapprove or not.

I don't know why he is spamming you with FB and Bing as his URL, sounds really unproductive. To stop him from spamming your blog use a plugin, IE: if it is a WordPress blog use activate the Akismet plugin, it comes with your original installation.

yahoo and Bing is trying to increase their serps ranking on Google, the blackhat way.

Go to the Discussion settings in WordPress, and add the IPs to the blacklist.

just use http://www.google.com/recaptcha

EDIT: I noticed, that this 3 blogs got some PR with the last update - they are from PR1 to PR3.

Just go to wordpress settings and close anonymous reply posting .. let anyone who wants to post register first this way 90% of the spam get vanished

They are checking if your site is AA or not. I suggest you use a spam filter, like Akismet for WP.

Heh... Sometimes its fun to see what other people are promoting, get ideas. Lately I've been seeing the strangest stuff coming through, like communion dresses and wacky stuff like that as well as the aforementioned google/bing/yahoo comments.

No they are not , it's actually a very smart move
in wordpress settings for comment approving there is option that is checked by default and says something like: " Comment author must have a previously approved comment"
so when you approve them you let them comment the hell out of your site in future
so if they could pass the first barrier by impersonating an innocent visitor , they could make lot's of backlinks .
whatever you do,don't approve them !

Yeah yeah.. Another possibility. Either way, it's to get a backlink.

Just enable Akismet. Ever since I did it, I've received 0 spam.

Just like a lot of people who use automated submission tools, they are checking to see if their posts get approved or not automatically.
