Ok ... need some advice. I want to start some scraper blogs that link back to original articles or rewrite articles ... one or the other. Anyone know the best software/plugin to do that .. preferably one that is free or cracked?

There is a Wordpress Plugin called Autoblog that will scrap content from RSS, and link back to original source. Do a search in google, u should be able to find it.

But beware, I used it last year, and within short period of time, copyright emails were flying in. Oh well, some people just don't like their content to be scraped.

So, it would be much better to use tools that could rewrite the articles/content or mix up several source to make it looks 'unique'. There are quite a few good one being discussed here.

Yup, the plugin is indeed just scrap those RSS out there. If you want, I still have a copy of the plugin. But it's not good to use.

But I know there are still some people using it out there...coz they are scraping my spams too .

I tried Feedworpress before, doesn't really work up to my need. It parses the feed, but I think it doesn't create a statis page like autoblog plugin.

I have not tried WP o' Matic, no idea how's the effect.

I tried the wp-o-matic. It worked great and was easy to install. It doesn't provide a link back ... developer said that will happen in another release. But if you used a scraper that does provide a link back and you're still getting a bunch of copyright heat, then maybe I should look for a scraper/rewriting content type of solution and avoid the copyright thing altogether.

For rewriting content on the fly on WordPress blogs I've been using WordPress Rewriter. It's cheap to. It's only $9. I use the RSS scrapers or add some articles and this automatically rewrites everything (unless the script it told to exclude).

It will convert description to the full posts in the feed.

I think it goes to the post url - scrapes the post and inserts it back into the feed replacing the description.

if they dont want there content scraped they shouldnt have RSS feeds, simple as the its public domain.

Woah, that's a pretty strong statement to make. RSS feeds are there for users who want to check for updates without having to repeatedly go to the website. Just because people don't want their content to be scraped it doesn't mean they will disable their RSS feeds.
