This morning I have been tweaking a real estate wordpress site of my friend and noticed there are some comments posted which are irrelevant to the news articles. So I researched on how to reduce the spam in the comment section. Some of you already know this simple method but hopefully someone who is just starting a new wordpress site might find this useful.
1. Open your wordpress admin and go to Settings > Discussion.
2. In the Discussion Settings, you can see two large input boxes (Comment Moderation and Comment Blacklist) where you can enter any word, email, url or ip per line.
Here are some of the best words that you can load in the input boxes:
Through this simple process, you are able to save huge amount of time every time a someone posts unwanted comments/links/words in moderating/cleaning your wordpress blog.
