Buy Commercial Wordpress MU software

Dear Blackhaters,

Looking for a commercial software like that of wordpress mu. I want to start a website for different schools with one installation handling the sub-domains or sub-directories of the schools. I do not want to go for the commercial wordpress MU. Has anybody gotten any script similar in mind that I can use to handle the network of different schools that will present on a single domain name but with different sub-directories or sub-domains? Your immediate response will be much appreciated.
