Are tag clouds bad for SEO?
Hello,
I have a tag cloud on my website which displays the 50 most popular tags used. Would the search engines consider this keyword stuffing since each tag is displayed as a link on every Wordpress post and page? Would removing the tag cloud widget improve SEO?
Thanks...

Tags are very good for big websites until they are fully indexed by search engines. After that I usually remove the tag cloud.

Re: Are tag clouds bad for SEO?
I used to always use a tag cloud, in spite of how ugly it looked, because I was told that it helped search engines index me quicker... Now I don't worry about it, I just don't bother with it, and just use good, clean website layout and search engine optimization practices. I wouldn't advise using a tag cloud. To me, it also makes you're site look a bit desperate or gives the slight impression that you're somebody who really doesn't know what they're doing... or just has bad design taste.
