First of all i don't want to start making $100's every day, i just want to start small, get the concept working, tweak it abit and see where it gets me.

I'm starting a blog which i will monetize via adsense & aff. commissions (if any good products appear in my niche), but have 2 questions.

Wordpress or Blogger? Do they both get indexed equally as quick? or are there different SEO advantages to each one? i had a search but found nothing specific on this.

And secondly, how much content should i write? some people say 1 article a day, some say 5. I'm guessing its purely subjective as the more quality articles you write the more you end up making.

Just want to get my feet firmly planted before i start doing everything. the SEO shouldn't pose much of a problem, but if i start on a bad foundation everything will just go tits up!

If your hosting this blog on your own server, use wordpress else go for blogger. Wordpress.com doesn't allow you to add adsense to your blogs. 1 article a day should be enough, you might want to start multiple blogs if you want to write more.

I prefer wordpress. If you use wordpress a must is the all in one seo pack. It works really well. I myself find wordpress a lot more friendly then other blogging scripts.

Wordpress is the best imo its seo friendly and easy to set up. One article per day is fine just make sure its unique.

Just thought of something, you can have blogs on wordpress and blogger. Eg keywordfood.com on wordpress and keywordfood.net on blogger and post the same articles on them ........Okay not really the same, you will spin the second one of coz to avoid being penalized.

Does that make sense?

Yeah, but you have to get then Backlinks for each of them. It's a different if you want to have 1 Blog or multiple Blogs.

Use wordpress on your own host....you have control then and can't have some bitchy moaner get your account banned.

Get at least 10 posts up.

Get indexed.

Then....monetize. Wait for Big G to find you and get some daily traffic, it'll help with adsense. Monetizing with no indexing and no traffic is a killer to your bottom line.

Im in the same situation, and I think that will be better use Wordpress on your own host, because u can do what you want ... in blogger if they want they delete your blog ... with WP you have a lot of plugins that can help you with SEO ...

I don't have any knowledge about PHP, and I have a blog running on my host ... its very easy install and post, but I think that if you need to change something in your theme you have to know a little bit about PHP ...

Yes That Is The Main Problem.I Have Found Lynda Wordpress Tutorial's And They Also Does Not Provide Any Info Regarding How To Change Theme Etc.

If you are using your own host, I suggest WordPress. It's by far the best blog software.

As for the posting frequency, it depends on you, but I suggest at least 1 post per week.

You don't need to know any PHP programming to use wordpress. Sure it helps, but there is usually a plugin written to cover every need.
