at the bottom of the theme theres some 3 text links to some insurance sites that need to be removed. they're not in the footer.php. I think it might be in the functions.php but that looks to be encoded. How do you remove them?

I was wondering the same thing and then I saw that someone in the flexibilitytheme forum posted the following:

The links are in the free version and are, I guess, providing backlinks for the author's personal sites (or sites he's affiliated with).

If you want to get rid of them, you can purchase a version of Flexibility 3 with these links removed. Go to:

(unable to post link)

for details.

Thank you for sharing this , did you already used it ? Is this theme easy to skin and use?

You want an easier way to remove these links well here you go... :cool:

get into your flexibility3 theme folder and open up the footer.php file in your editor. Scroll to the bottom and find the code...

<?php wp_footer(); ?>

DELETE THIS EXACTLY and upload back to your site!

Thats ALL you have to do and is very simple. Click THANKS if this has Helped you!

Enjoy

P.S. I have tested and confirmed this for two sites using this theme

That breaks the theme every time for me. Youll see a big gap at the top.

I use this method to remove encrypted footers and it always works:
Code:
http://www.wlug.net/remove-encrypted-footer-links-wordpress-themes/

When I do that, the crappy insurance links will shop up in footer.php and I just cut em out.

Removing the <?php wp_footer(); ?> from your footer.php will definitely work and won't affect anything else.

But the flexibility3 theme ... that guy has 1 support post in the last 3 years, although there are a hundred questions.

And if you look at your functions.php, it's all encoded and obfuscated, so that right there tells you it's not too trustworthy.

But I still use it, and just figure out hacks every time I need something done.

Yes i just remove the <?php wp_footer(); ?> from footer.php and link is by-by..
