1) Start blogging consistently
2) Guest Blog (make sure you have links back to your blog in your bio)
3) Comment on other blogs you like
4) Connect your blog to a social media
5) Social bookmark some of your entries

Try all that is mentioned above to start getting traffic first before you try to monetize.
