Question Wordpress question...

Ok one would figure I would know the answer to this rather simple question being that I have been using WP for quite some time now. Anyways can someone tell me how to get my main page to display just one post? Do I just tweak my settings to display a static page? I don't want my posts to appear on the main page. I just wanna keep adding posts for fresh content. It would make sense to set it to a static page now that I think of it, but was looking for advice. I was wanting my wp site to appear just like any other website instead of a blog. Hopefully that all makes sense I'm having major blonde moments today. Thanks all!

Default Re: Wordpress question...

Settings -> Reading -> Front Page Displays -> A Static Page -> (select page from drop down)

This should do what you want.

or you can do something like this

Settings -> Reading -> Blog pages show at most -> (enter 1) & run lesterchans wp-sticky from http://www.lesterchan.com to stick a single post up top on the main page.

Yea it makes sense to set it to a static page just wanted to make sure there wasn't some other cool new way I didn't know about. Or if there was a special plugin. There's so many damn plugins I can't keep up with em lol. Thanks!
