Blogging Software Showdown

Hi everybody. I have been doing some research on blogging tools and I like Wordpress in a way because it has more exposure and I'm told that Google prefers WP in ranking metrics. But after seeing a few themes in Joomla, I have to admit as far as style goes they blow WP out of the water! I've also checked out Drupal.

I am a noob and this is my first attempt at affiliate blogging. My question to you is: Would it be better to host a blog in any of the three, or opt to Squidoo or Blogger. And if I'm going to be doing some Black Hat in the background, which is going to ding me and which is going to cover my a$$?

Squidoo is a good way to test the waters in a niche...but if you're talking about creating a bunch of micro-niche blogs, just get a hostgator account. You can host unlimited blogs on there, and it's super easy to install WP on each (which is my choice of platform too BTW)

If you know how to handle Drupal, it is the best platform to provide content. one drupal install can host unlimited drupal sites using multiple sites.

Thanks for the replies. I see a lot of useful points. Now my next question is, if I want to crank out a bunch of autoblogs, what should I use?

I plan on monetizing these blogs with every black hat method you guys can teach me. If by chance I get busted by Google, using Drupal, would that blacklist them all or just that one? I'm not really worried about getting a blog shut down, I'll just put two more in it's place. But on the same token, I still want to have other blogs making money if it does happen.
