Greetings,

This thread is my "diary" of my autoblog adventure, i have tried this once before (but gave up due to several reasons), so this is my "round number two" :)

For a starter, i will use a custom made rss aggregator that indexes RSS-feeds. The custom made system will at random times* select a article intro-text that contains a given keyword and post it on a given autoblog (and link back to the source author)

* The number of times to post per day is decided on a per-blog basis.

I have a VPS that i will install WPMU on, and point a couple of domains to.

A starting question:
What is the reccomended way of monetizing? I am considering Google Adwords + Amazon refferal program.

With autoblogs, adsense and amazon referrals are often really the only way to go - depending on your niche, making posts with some PPI can also work very well, along with CPA offers.

What I'd recommend doing is making a list of goals for yourself, such as;

1) Day 1-5 Write x articles
2) Day 5-8 Build x backlinks
etc etc, and daily earnings goals if possible. Set em high and reach higher ;)

The best of luck to you mate :)

The best way to monetize it is to think about the niche you are in. There are so many things you could se like adsense, CPA, Amazon, Commission Junction or Clickbank. Just think about the niche you are in and what fits well with it.

What have been done since the last time:

1) Have setup my tool to index ~13.500 RSS feeds, broken feeds gets removed automaticly (Any tips on where i can find many feeds?)

2) Fixed my tool a bit so i can create a new blog by just selecting a keyword and info about how often the tool should post new blogs to the blog. Links from some of my other blogs are also added. Blogs selected for linking is selected by fetching the autoblogs with the fewest ingoing links from my other autoblogs.

3) Bougth ~5 .info blogs with generic names.

4) Started installing Wordpress MU on the first domain, also added a script my tool uses to quickly create a new blog.

5) Added 3-4 templates and added ad codes to them, when a new blog is created a random template is chosen for the blog.

6) Created my two first blogs with each keyword. (Gotta start somewhere)

7) Made it possible to search up given keywords from the indexed rss feeds to see what words i have data to use.

So now it will take me ~10 minutes to setup a new Wordpress MU installation, and x seconds to create a new blog within a wordpress MU installation :)

One of the biggest challenges now is to find good keywords to create blogs around ;)

Are up to 10 blogs now, and with even out internal linking, so all (except the first) blogs link to some other blogs and have that way created a linkwheel.

I also notice now that i need to set up more themes to get a bit more variation between the blogs.

Weekend update:

Have changed my system to be a multi user system, so a bit time has gone away there. I have also tried making some Twitter accounts for some of the blogs, all got banned even before i logged in..sigh

I have also added a little tracker system to count the number of actualy visits to the blogs, the number is very very slow so far ;)

Are up to 15 blogs now.

Jup, more info about it @ http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/blogging/197965-looking-beta-testers-my-auto-blog-tool.html

News:
- Have setup a couple of more .info wpmu-installations, going to have 5-6 when i am finished with my first bunch
- Are up to 19 autoblogs now, going to setup more when i get up with good keywords and have more wpmu sites up and running.
- Fondeling on how i can write a rewriter thing to use in my tool, since writing 100% own content takes time for each blog
- Also fondering in how i can increase the traffic to the blogs, the traffic is not exactly fowing in yet.

Have now managed to get two blogs connected to Twitter, and have increased the number of blogs to 25 now. I have also taken a round on the blogs and activated a SEO plugin to make the search engines happy.

Next goal: 50 blogs :D

wish you sucesss and hope you can share your progress
regards
Thambiman

Ill be following this post ..:D i make about $500 a month with a couple of blogs and i am looking at different ways to build this up .. so what you are doing is certainly sounding interesting.. i might chip in a few suggestions a i try and build up mine as well.. though mine will be a slow process due to time contraints:eek:

try using some proxies. only make 3 with each. let them sit 2 - 3 days to see if they pass. I get about a 75% rate of non suspension just depends on whether someone already abused the proxy that day.

good free proxy list updates constantly
Code:
http://www.ip-adress.com/proxy_list/

use in conjunction with proxy switcher pro. Easily found on any torrent network. use it to check and connect through ie explorer or firefox. watch video to set up with firefox. ie is automatic. easy switching.

I also use roboform found on torrents as well to fill forms on twitter account creation.

I just havent gotten around to making an imacros for twitter creation yet. so just a method.

How are you building blogs so fast? If I could just figure out how to make an image or something I could build fast. Just drop in the feeds and off to the next. I hear you talk about WP MU. Haven't researched this yet. Can I run WP MU on a VPS? (G-ling now :)

I would say yes as long as you have wildcard dns. for subdirectories. there are plenty of tutorials at wordpreesmu forums

Have you made any money yet?
No, not yet.

I have added a simple stats system to track page views via a simple tracking image, and i have had around 550 page views so far. Not too much tough.
I also skip adding ads until the blog(s) actually start getting some traffic, so only a few have ads now.

There are also some Amazon RSS feed data posted sometimes but i dont check the earnings there often.

Thanks :)

MrFreeweed: Thanks for the tips! I will try that :)

jolt3500: I have ~5 WPMU installations. Then i am using my own tool (check my other thread) to create a new Wordpress blog on those WPMU sites within seconds. So far i have 32 blogs. But none of them has alot of traffic (yet.)

I like these diary/journal threads. they keep people motivated and everyone can learn a little. I may start one soon as soon as I start taking autoblogs serious.:p

Not much new since last time. I notice on my stats that only 2-3 of the blogs get traffic on a dail basis and only in the ammount of < 20 pageviews daily. Hopefully that will go up when the blogs become older.

This even when more of the blogs do have twitter accounts connected.

Humm... are you doing any proactive link building? Your results seem a little too low.
