http://beatsandstuff.com/ is the link to my first autoblog.

Can anyone critique it? The layout? The Adsense placement? I used a free WP plugin to rewrite some articles, are there generally ones that will do the job better than what I have on my site?

Also, I submitted a sitemap and everything, yet I still cannot get indexed on google. How long does this typically take?

for indexing social bookmark your site and since you have submitted the sitemap, you should have your site indexed within a week

Honest Opinion, The source material seems fine. The adsense placement is horrible, makes the site look spammy. In the auctions post "Hey, analyse discover these auctions:" Does not make grammatical sense.. It just screams "I don't speak English"..

The theme is pretty bad too, but functional... The Ebay auctions plugin will do a live stream or current auctions based on a keyword. There is no need to post a new "latest auctions" post several times a day.. Just increase the # of items it displays and have a single auction post/page.. Or just put it in the side bar to have an updated stream of related auctions always showing.

honestly i do not like the lay out of you posting and also the adsense ads does not look to good. why do not just try to use another theme. i hope you not get offense.

I would first like to say congratulations to taking the jump, as you have started your first autoblog (I have yet to try). As for what I think of the site, I dont really like it. It looks like a messy myspace layout with everything just all over the place.

i agree with everyone else's comments about the layout and especially the adsense.

On a positive note I like your niche idea a lot

I never would have thought about a music recording autoblog

For the adsense I would use smaller ads, and install a widget for the side bar

also look for a music theme

I feel like this layout is marginally better/functional, but what do you BHW-ers think? Also, is there any harm having these blogs be all on the same domain and hosting?

Is it a bad idea to just use the same layout but different content? Or does google adsense frown upon that?

check your stats in adsense reports.

the ctr is the only thing that matters - change your layout to maximize it.

But here's a question... How safe autoblogs are?? I'm talking about adsesne, of course.

"View flooded place on" What does that mean? Are you just running it through a translator and then back to English or something? .. Also a little too much content for a new site day#1.. Autoblogs are all about making it look natural and grow slowly.. Aim for about 6 posts a day spread out for an autoblog.

I'm running it through a rewriting plugin so it would generate unique content, hence the garbled text. Also, @tacopalypse, what's a good CTR to strive for? I'm getting 2.34 right now, not sure if that's below average, average, or above average.

Also, how long does it typically take to get search engine traffic? My stats plugin is reporting no hits from search engines so far.

0-10 bad
10-20 meh
20-30 good
30+ very good

maximize ctr by cramming as many ads as you can towards the top-left of the page

also enable the competitive ad filter to pump up your ecpm. search the forum for a generic list to plug into it.

100% change the theme. Remove the tag cloud too. After you've changed the theme then people can give you more advice on this. The theme lets things down but well done for making an autoblog as it is more than many people have done, at least you're on the road and going in the right direction.

Color is unappealing. Fact=Blue is best.

Page took more than 3 seconds to load. Maybe you have multiple analytics running in the header but if it takes more than 3 seconds Google Caffeine shall rank you worse. Also a fact.

It's much better than the first one. I think someone interested in this stuff would actually stay on your site for a while and look through it. I would change the way the bookmarking links look if you can or get a completely different plugin for them. Also integrate twitter if you haven't already.

you can get some great themes from the downloads section on this forum too, I would look into it if i was you.

Yeah I agree with the above, this is a much better looking blog. I would also recommend that you limit the number of posts per page to 6.

I see that you're using WP Robot, that's a cool plugin and will serve you well. There is a great AutBlogging thread going on which is in the Members Download section. It's in that section as there is a complete video tutorial on a twisted autoblogging method which I think you'll find very useful
