Hey I'm going to try to start my own blog website using wordpress. I was wondering if i could get some tips and maybe some programs that'd help me. I'm kinda new to wordpress but then again im familiar with it. PM me if you can or post here. Thanks.

The thread has some themes and scripts that you can download for free. That should get you started.

As for content do your keyword research and figure out which niche you want to focus on, then monetize, then drive traffic.

ok thanks but how do i use the scripts on wordpress i found a theme script for the site but i dont know how to make it my theme. And for the scripts how to i get them on the site?

go to wp-content then themes and put the folder in there

alright but when i go to themes i dont see a place to insert the folder all i see is other options of themes that wordpress supplies.

You just have to upload the theme into the theme folder.

Also, what is the general niche of your blog going to be? We might be able to help you develop ideas of how to monetize the blog if we know what you'll be writing about.

i plan on making a blog for people about games. Like the latest news on games for game systems. Another thing how would i get to wp-content then if i want to insert a theme cause i cant seem to find where i would instert the folder for the theme. Im just really confused i guess.

Just use Wordpress.com or Blogger.com to get started blogging, then move on to your own hosted one.
