Help?
Hey everyone. I've been reading quite a bit in this forum about autoblogging because that's what I'm mostly interested in.
So far I've played around a little bit with everything I could find that was free such as wp-o-matic for wordpress. I think this program works just fine for pulling and posting content from RSS but I would like to have something that spins the content that I get from feeds?
I guess I'm just kind of worried about duplicate content and maybe getting in trouble. Do I just need to hike my skirt up a bit in this situation or is it a legit fear?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Also if you're pretty good at auto blogging maybe we could work out some sort of deal. You show me the ropes on how to create great auto blogs as well as how to make some money and I'll be your slave for the month or something.
I've been consuming the leftovers from a superbowl party all day so if some of this doesn't make much sense it's because I'm pretty sure I'm shitfaced.

Re: Help?
You really do need to spin the content if you want your autoblog to have any chance of being successful, so it is a legit fear.
Have a look in the download section on here. There are a few different spinners available. Why not try all of them and see which one works best for you?

Re: Help?
Alright, thanks for that info. I'm doing a bit of looking right now. Just set up a new hosting account and setting up a domain so finding a good spinner is next on the list.

Re: Help?
I have two opinions about this. There may be a duplicate content penalty, but it is much smaller than it used to be.
Opinion #2 - programmatically spinning articles is not worth it. You almost always end up with some funky articles that don't read write.
Oh and opinion #3 - for each autoblog, get your content from a healthy mix of different applications. Free works, especially with a little help from your friends, and I think mixing up sources on each AB helps reduce any possible dupe penalty.
peace,
gregs.

That was something I was thinking about was the readability of program spun articles is pretty shitty.
I guess I was more worried about someone seeing that I'm pulling their content and using it for an AB and getting all butt hurt about it. I think I may be beyond the point of caring right now though, I just want to make some dough.
Thanks for the advice

Re: Help?
I'm only working with 2 plugins right now. wp-o-matic and postwriter.
It's been kinda a pain in the ass to find any good feeds though. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to pickup some good RSS feeds? I can't sleep until I put this thing together and get it working.
Also I was thinking about making some subdomains and placing autoblogs on them as well, is there anything to worry about as far as that's concerned?

I've had the same experiences of feeling like I'm searching for a needle in that steaming stack of hay that is rss.
As far as subdomains with AB's on them, just as long as you know that the search engines will be well aware of what you're doing. Nothing wrong with that really, but I've seen a few people who thought they could build mammoth link farms using a single shared hosting and Big G woudn't figure out what it was.
WRT using other people's content, I haven't gotten too many complaints and the few have been pretty mild. I don't recommended ripping 100% of someone else's site and putting up your own site with nothing but the other site's content on it, that gets people up in arms, but if you blend in content from multiple sources and "add value" to it by adding your own twists, you should be alright.

Re: Help?
You can get plenty of feeds from news sites such as yahoo and celebrity sites. All you need to do is put some effort in searching for them. Main problem is the unique content. Unless you have the holy grail of article spinning, you have to do manual edits to spun articles if you want them to be readable.

Re: Help?
So far I'm having my best luck searching in google. I'm just using the term i'm looking for and adding "blogger" or "blogspot.com" etc.
So far that has me coming up with the most complete RSS feeds as well as ones that aren't filled with links and advertisements. It seems to be getting easier the further along I get.
It's not quite ready though, need to set up the ads and tweak it just a bit more.

Re: Help?
I had some kinda major fck up and crashed everything lol. But in the mean time I got ahold of some other great stuff off of BHW. This place is a gold mine of information. I just hope I can put it all to good use for making some decent money eventually.

Re: Help?
Alright now that I've pretty much got this figured out and have everything bascially ready to mass produce, what should I be aware of?
I have a shared hosting account right now with other sites on it already. Is it a good idea to make some sub-domains and start tossing up some more ABs or should I think about getting another hosting account?
I also saw that I can buy a reseller hosting account from hostgator for under $30 a month, should I just buy one of those and will I be able to have as many AB's as I want without having to worry about it?
Anyways it would be nice to know a general rule of thumb for how many AB's to have on one hosting account.
