It's so easy when you use FireBug on Firefox for locating the unique Tags.

My question is this.....How many times can you use Yahoo pipes say for one site??

I got a tech blog and looking to have various rss feeds going to each category....most of which will need to be filtered through pipes. So I'm wondering will pipes stop me after say 6-7 rss requests?

iam very interested in this but iam stil wondering whats the limit of request a single IP can make to a pipe before getting blocked. is there also an easy way to add some random proxies (from any list) to this?

So far I used 3 separate YP feeds on the same site, and I called each feed several times to filter out for keywords to go into different categories.....so far so good.

Anyone know how to remove certain parts from the feed? On a particular feed I wanna remove an affiliate box that's in a DIV class.

200 runs (of a given Pipe) in 10 minutes
200 runs (of any Pipe) from an IP in 10 minutes
If you exceed the 200 runs in a 10 minute block, your Pipe will be 999'ed for a hour.

with autoblogged plugin.

It only grab the words but not the video, but when viewing the feed with feedviewer it shows all the video tags which is what i wanted in the content.

I tried using the yahoo pipe line method but i got the full feed but when grabbing contents from autoblogged plugin it only grab the words(sorry used cracked version therefore cannot ask for any support from them). any1 having the same problem?

.....but when I use Yahoo Alerts to forward the feed to my email, there is an unsubscribe link at the end of the post. How do I remove it.

btw self advertising is also a big no!

I'm struggling with the regex part as well. It regex given does not strip my links. I've also tried to search for more advanced regex, but nothing is being stripped. Is there a problem with yahoo, or is it maybe the feed/page?

I tried this for ezine articles instead of my own plugin code. It's interesting, but does not apply to high volume requests and almost-realtime news. Great contibution, though!

Great share thanks i love yahoo pipes been working with full feeds for my blogs.

This is a great tutorial and everything works great in Yahoo pipes, just one question.. How do you remove css tags (i.e. div, etc) and javascript and links using regex. The example you provided above gives an error in yahoo pipes. If anyone has a standrad regex that they use, it would be helpful, if not I'll just write my own and share here.

When I try to use feedwordpress with the rss feed from pipes it keeps posting every single post from the feed instead of 1 at a time. Does anyone know how to get it to post 1 post at a time?

The feeds at the major sites are stuffing their adsense and banner BS in - surely to thwart our efforts ... however a regex to strip that out would be deliscious ...

That seems kinda cool, would be nice to be able to mix 10 feeds that pull images and strip out all links and author details.

I noticed that result in some of the pipes being given as examples here.

I think you have to add a truncate function to the output somewhere along the line. But then, it seems to me that that would discard the rest of the it.

Maybe there is a way to add a character between the items of the feed that your blogging software can recognize to split up into separate posts?

Just a thought. Maybe someone more experienced can better describe the process.

I have been looking at this problem of not posting full RSS feeds. WizardRSS is another alternative to the problem.

WizardRSS - pulls full RSS feeds not just snippets.
In order to pull the full feed A user will prepend the feed URL with http://www.wizardrss.com/feed/.
Explanation: if an RSS feed URL is http://rss.news.yahoo.com/rss/topstories, for example Replace the http:// with http://www.wizardrss.com/feed/ so that it will get the full RSS feeds. The resulting URL will be: http://www.wizardrss.com/feed/rss.ne...rss/topstories and it should be displaying the full RSS feeds. This is from http://www.wizardrss.com/developers.php and works beautifully.

It might be nice however to be able to pull only items in the feeds relating to specific keywords. I would think Yahoo Pipes would be good for that.

ah, fine method. but this method are not really helpful. some pipes still have trimmed post. i think this method works wonderfully with xml feeds not atoms. i tried with atom and i can't parse the feed like G read er. only post links. i can't identify the probs but thanks anyway.
