Just got a threating email about scrapping

So just today some F sent me an email demanding that I stop scrapping his site. And you know what I'm fine with that. I took down his feed and all articles. So what does he do..He drops a tweet on twitter about it with my web url in it trashing my site's name. I even saw a phone number in his email an tried calling him to clear things up, but it goes straight to VM. Double checked to make sure he wasn't a competitior and it doesn't look like he is.

Further more he claims that he has already contacted G to have my site removed off the search engine regaurdless if I took his content off or not.

I have just taken all my Ad S off so he doesn't ty and get me banned.

Can anyone help or have some tips on what I should do? I mean could he get my adsense banned? Or de-indexed? Help..

I doubt hes gonna contact G and go through the hassle of trying to get your account banned. He was just trying to show you that he was serious about your infringing content. As long as you removed it, don't worry about it. Even if he does report it to G, he can't prove it since you removed your content now and complied with his request.
 
True, I have removed all the content. But now do you think I sould just scrape content from somewhere else and keep the new domain alive? I just am worried I will get a real person review from G, If he did report me. I just dont want to risk my AS account.
 
Lol lol :D serious business, i would counter this with few russian hitmans to show him to fuck off for good. Doubt he can do anything. IF he posted all your things on twitter and spoke shit of you and your site you could always see if you can sue him :D, might sound stupid but wonder if it would work in US if hes from there too :D ( serious business)

I honestly wouldn't be too worried. If you are that worried, then just drop the domain and use a new domain. You're only losing 10 bucks at most that way... assuming you aren't ranking well in SERPs.
 
That's the risk you take when you do that without even spinning.

When he meant he was going to report you to Google, he meant that he was going to get your entire website removed from the search engine, which they will do when someone reports you. If you have adsense, you would be even more fucked. Even if you take it down, he could have taken screenshots or a video.

If you posted stuff that was less than 3 months old, just be glad he isn't sending a subpoena to your host so he can collect on statutory damages (up to $150,000 for knowingly doing it).

Of course, he probably won't go through all that trouble unless you piss him off.
 
Submit his URL to Google indexing several times, i mean several times and Google will de-index him for spamming his website to their index program.
 
Since you removed his content, you have nothing to be afraid of. Google might not actually give him much help since you were kind enough to comply with the rules.

Why don't you scrape your content somewhere else? There are probably millions of other sources you can use instead of that, and even hundreds if you are on a micro niche.

Screw him. Drop the website and move on. You can play with the sucker by creating a few more exact copies of his website but it's rather childish and waste of time :P. And always register you domains privately, or under fake data, if you haven't done that already.
 
What would be even more funny was if we all went to the OP's site and left a comment saying

"Dude, somebody else is copying your site! Look! (insert assholes link here)"

Thanks for the info everyone. I havent heard back from him. I have already started pulling feeds from new sites. I have gotten these before 1 or 2 times, but never have I been thrown on someones twitter account complaining about it. People just need to relax. Like me for example. Problem -> Solution. I read his quote 'scarry' letter, and promptly took off his content and AS. Then cracked open a new bottle of Jack and poured one. Will be adding new feeds from another site in about a week to let in settle down. All in all its taken care of. Just a good thing it wasn't any worse. Problem - Solution - Done. Thanks everyone for your replies.
 
Well for the second time this week I have looked for my site on G, and its gone. Now what. Completely de-indexed! :(
