Why VPS for autoblogging?

Hi,
I was reading around and it seems like most people use VPS for autoblogging.. why is that? I have a shared plan with unmetered stuff and so far I have around 6 autoblogs on it.. and am planning to increase that... what is wrong with having them on a shared plan?

Most hosting companies like to terminate your shared acc because autoblogs use to much resources...

On a VPS you can use as much resources as the VPS can handle..

You can also get a reseller plan with many accounts for the blogs, that way all of your blogs won't be banned at the same time, just the affected account.

I still try to find a good shared hosting to host _many_ autoblogs without being banned...

can you explain the reseller plan? im selling resseller accounts to myself so they can't ban all accounts?

Another good point about VPSs is that when you have a particular site that you are worried about you can put it on it's own IP (will be the same class c though) -not sure if you can or not with just reseller - but that can help keep one site from affecting the rest.

Also as Keekn pointed out - you are reselling on a reseller account - do you know how many layers down you are from the server owner? because yes, if they ban the top reseller, all accounts under that one, including reseller accounts will get shut down.

Also, a VPS comes with root access, so you can tweak your server environment to your exact needs

Once it pays for itself, it's def worth it to get a VPS - and they're pretty cheap now anyways

Shared hosting is limited because the hosting companies don't like the cron jobs you do with autoblogs.

I can just about guarantee you do NOT have unmetered CPU usage.

And, with only 6 autoblogs on it, you might be OK on the CPU front.

But if you plan on building more, it is only a matter of time before all your sites are down because they suspended your account.

In the last year, I have gone from shared, to VPS, and now dedicated.

Autoblog = CPU resources
