I finally found a great wordpress plugin (not free, encoded, but for $40 not really such a big deal) that helps bloggers with adult blogs to end a big nightmare - to embedd galleries into your blog and actually that downloads from free hosted galleries into your blog, it really does a great job.

And in case you wonder as this blog is not so big and just new, I just dumped all old content and restarted a new wordpress installation on it just now.

What the plugin does:

1. Grabs videos from FHGs
2. Converts video to FLV automatically (or to AVI, MPG, WMV, etc).
3. Builds Embedded/Non-embedded video galleries.
You can create video of different types:
a). YouTube-like FLV videos with flash player.
b). Classic videos. Thumbs linked to video files directly.
4. Creates classic galleries (thumbs linked to videos)
5. Manual frame cropper (pic)
6. Flash player for embedded videos
7. Builds Photo Galleries as well as Video galleries

You can build a gallery
- from FHG,
- from local folder,
- from zip file,
- upload it via browser.
- using Fusker-style,
- uploading a single image or video
- or grabbing a single image from Internet.

9. New Different thumb sizes within a gallery, adjustable image dimensions + quality

You can select and use any of 3 options:
a) link thumbs to fullsized image viewer
b) directly to big image
c) directly to sponsor's URL (you can earn more $$$$

You can select any of different 5 gallery sources:
14. Grab galleries/videos from FHG's and TGP's
15. Grab a ZIP file from internet.
16. Fusker style
Just specify an URL to images such as
http://somehost.com/photo[1-10].jpg
and the script will grab them and build a gallery quick.

17. Upload galleries in a ZIP file though your browser.
18. Build a gallery from a folder uploaded to your server
If your images have been uploaded to your server, you can build galleries by specifing a folder at your server and script will generate everything for you.

any other free alternatives??? i tried lightbox and slimbox but couldn't manage to work them

I'd recommend GalleryScraper over this (still paid). You can scrap texts from the galleries, too and makes automated feeds from them.

nexgen gallery aint bad, its a little painful but after using it for a week you get used to it...
