i recently finished this thing called owntube, which is a joint project with my main computer nerd partner in the springs, frankwhite. djwombat doesn't count because he actually goes outside, and we don't.
our pairing is one of classic hollywood buddy comedy material - he the fun-loving, i-have-an-original-idea-peep-this-shit, eternal optimist world war one veteran, and me the reclusive, oh-snap-motherfucker-tight-idea-i-can-next-level-that-motherfucker-watch-me-shit-on-it-with-my-coding-skillz local sheriff of a small town in alabama.
nutshell explanation: makes awesome fucking videos using google images based off of id3 tags in mp3 files and uploads them to youtube. it is primarily built for ye olde ringtone game, but has a billion other applications.
watch the above video for the more thorough explanation - a few features and bugfixes have been added since the video was made, but you pretty much will get the point if you have eyes and ears and have used a computer before.
this took me about 60 or so hours to code total AND I DID IT ALL BY MY FUCKING SELF I WILL WIN YOUR CODE OFF DO NOT CHALLENGE ME - there was a straight shot session in there of about 36 hours that cleaned up the game though.
speaking of cleaning up the game, shout outs to laz-d, who made this shit possible by repping the mercury racing league.
the seminal ultra alpha version of this program put "laz-d" in as any field i couldn't read off of the id3 tag.
anyway, big frank has been running this motherfucker ragged in His Name (ASGPHE), trying to make sure the bitch was ready for public consumption. it took a few days, but i believe that it is finally ready to begin taking on other select few people who are down with the crowned (prince of bel-air).
if you're saying to yourself "motherfucker, that shit is expensive!", this program is not for you. the price is high to keep morons out and also because this ho is pretty exclusive - we can't have every tom, dick, and harry in the universe ruining the method, can we? that number "10" buyers might wind up being even smaller depending on the scalability. the price of 1800 would buy you 1800 videos from india with a week turnaround time.
for reading this far, i will elaborate on the free ideas:
upload either regular mp3s or voiceover sales pitch mp3s that you or some awesome person creates and set the "artist" id3 tag to a random product in copeac, like mighty putty or ronco food dehydrator. owntube will scrape google images and make images promoting your wonderful product like whoa.
same applies with a dating site - set the id3 tag to "hot bitches" and get nastey on em .
frank will be handling the customer service and sales end of things because he knows the software better than anyone. post in this thread contact info if you are interested or just holler at owntube@aim.com or the aim of the same name if you want to be discreet.
if you have feature suggestions, i will update and version the program up for paying customers as soon as i can get to it - your contributions to better the program benefit everyone in the cabal as a whole. as far as i can tell, at the moment, this is as stable and as bug free as it can be.
one dg member currently has a full license and likes it. if said member wishes to come forward and vouch for its awesome rating, he may do so.

Haha I would definitely download it too if it was shared here. But I doubt it'll be that easy to cracked and be shared here. Look like it goes through their server or something but if anyone can make a program similar to his and sell it at a cheaper price or give it away for free that would be cool. I'll definitely purchase this the money to but don't look like I'll be able to purchase it when I do have the money since its only limited to 10 people

ytc probably doesnt remember me, i went by something else im my rampage on aol back in the day, but, by all means he is an excellent programmer. I had a few things i think he had a hand in back in the day, a nice winsock aol mailer made by godsmisfit. Ive heard nothing but good about his programming skillz, and hes got some skillz other than just coding as well. Ive met him here and there, as i said, under a different name, he was always cool with me. Not that what i said holds much weight, just saying the truth that i know.

Actually, even if you jv with the best marketers in the world - and you can add Frank Kern, John Reese and other gurus with email lists full of non-knowledgeable people- , i highly doubt that you will be able to sell even 10 copies, your original "limit".
Your script is worth around 97$ if you sell a limited - but high- number of licenses, let's say 100 copies.
If you limit the number of copies to be sold at 10, your script is worth around 500$ at most.
For 1800$, a person can get custom created a much better script than that one, and he will own all the rights, the source code, and can resell it later, and do whatever he wants with it.
Paying 1800$ for that license is really really stupid.
(And i haven't even bring into discussion if you can actually make money with that script to justify the price tag )

If 5 people are willing to pay 500$ each for it, let me know and i'll pay my programmer to do one for you instantly. If there are 10 people willing to do it, lower the price and will be 250$ for each. Let me know, the offer is very serious.
I do not have so much hate as you say, i do not even know that person. I simply love bhw and it's members and i want to protect them and let them know the true value of a software.
Has anyone bought this thing for this price tag! I'm pretty sure there aren't too many people on this forum that can afford this. Not knocking it just think it's waaay over priced.
I originally saw the post for owntube on ytcracker's forum and right away I had two thoughts:
1) That looks like an AWESOME piece of software.
2) There's no way in hell I would pay $1800 plus $100/month for it.
I'm not saying that it's not worth that much, but I know for a fact it's not worth that much to me personally. I think it's a very innovative idea and I'm certain that spinoffs are already in the works...
The point I'm trying to make is that perhaps it does come with an overwhelming price tag, but nonetheless a good idea IS a good idea... any other new software that comes about as a result of owntube, no matter how much cheaper will only help owntube get the recognition it deserves as the FIRST app to do this shit.
I think that ytcracker will probably be able to find buyers for the 10 available copies, and I really do look forward to hearing about the success of this app... even though it's not for me.
Okay, I dropped the 1800 on this without thinking twice about it. I also thought of other big pictures then just using with ringtones. You could always JV with it .. which is what I might do and I might not. You can easily upload k's of video's a day with this thing .. so definately going to be a money maker.

I got love for both DG and BHW and I thought this was a great program and I should let people know about it. I do believe it is worth its price. You will make back the money. I'll definitely buy this if I had the money to right now but I currently don't. I already know people going to copy the idea and resell this at a lower price. Its only a matter of time. and when people do remember that owntube was the original one.

Also if you the fortitude and witt to figure out ways beyond the obvious to apply what he making and scale up.. youre good to go.
As for the niegh sayers who say why not set the price point less and sell to more.. Have you ever worked customer service?.. have you ever had a job where the phone never stoped ringing ? not only is it distracting but you never get any real work done. ahnd less face it and the end of the day it about that paper and building out. So by limiting his users to a low number, he can control this.
As for the monthly fee. There are at least 10 usefull features coming out in short order according to his other thread. Also other products that are highly usefull charge this service fee ... xrumer or senuke is the big one if i remember correctly.

Yea but your programmer won't offer you free update,support, or advice or anything. so once the script is done and something goes wrong like a week later or so you going to have to pay again to fix all those problems.
