why do you always see posts titled 'noob needs help' or 'total noob question'? like...idk seems easier to just ask a question or ask for help from someone without claiming to be a 'noob' or whatever.

or maybe thats just my pride talking? lol

I think people want the reader to know that their question is basic and it's because they are a noob. By stating they are a noob, they hope to forgo the flaming that normally ensues after asking such a question.

ah i guess that makes sense. i don't get the point of flaming though lol. seems like a waste of time to meee

I agree, but this is the internet and some people live to flame others.

haha yeah superiority complexes can run rampant when there's essentially no social repercussions.

especially if you go to some irc chatrooms and networks? oh wow its crazy to see the kinds of conflicts that ensue
