Default US Businesses

Hi,

Please can someone help me locate a source which identifies businesses in the US not having a website.
Preferably with address and email so I can promote a website creation service.

Grateful for any help.

infousa.com does a pretty good job of tracking all of that. It costs though.

That'd be a crapshoot...infousa can sell you the list of businesses that HAVE websites that they have as listed...but no one can tell who who doesnt have a website.

The best thing to do is call the Secretary of State in any state capital in the country and speak to them or to the Department of Incorporation - most states have them. Filing corporate paperwork is public information and all you need to do is ask them for a list of newly formed corporations in that state. If I recall correctly for $40 a month or so the state of Missouri would send you an updated list - but that was a about 5 - 10 years ago when I did that so the details are a little fuzzy.

What I would do then, is send a direct mail piece to them offering your product or service and then follow that up with a phone call to follow up and introduce yourself. I've used this strategy and both business-to-business and business-to-consumer markets - and especially the ever so competitive home-based-business industry - and what I've found is it really helps to build your brand, and when you call to follow up it really gives you a lot of credibility in the eyes of your prospect.

Just know that all states have these - just different products and policies regarding the information and the people that work for the government are just like everyone else be nice to them, and make them happy to talk to you - and they will be very helpful.

Hope this helps,

Zeprokon
