Girls always make fun of me for having an old phone. I dont give two shits about this.

Is there any practical reason to spend more money on a smartphone/newer phone? I would continue using this 10 year old badboy except its finally given out on me :P so im wondering if theres any point in getting a newer more expensive phone to upgrade or if i should just get antoher cheap one and continue to enjoy the ridicule of not being in the cool gang.

Indeed, there are several reasons why you'd possibly want one. The main reason being that smart phones are basically many devices in one. For example:
- GPS
- Camera
- Video Recorder
- Anything a tablet can do (video, music, etc)
- Game console
- Note taker
- Calculator
- Can do some business activities on it (depending on which apps you have)

All of these features are wrapped into one phone, and it's more portable than a tablet would be.
However, if you don't need these features, then there's nothing wrong with sticking with the old phones because I find that old phones >>>> smart phones as far as regular talking and texting reliability are concerned.

Buy a new smart phone in black friday deals. Smart phones aren't expensive.

These guys just opening up repeated troll threads. Asking should he get a smartphone on an internet marketing forum.

Dont give him the oxygen.

Sad but true, tsk tsk!

Then again the government is going to figure out how to spy on us some other way anyhow...

True, but till then I prefer to show them my middle finger.

I wouldnt use any of those 'features' :P

The only thing i can think of is that alot of girls use these new apps like kik and whatever other junk forget all the names. but as i gather they are just free texting with pictures. so i dont think that really warrants it.
