I don't know how but my moms Yahoo email was hacked and whoever/whatever it was sent out links to people with the domain in the title.
Mostly some trojans will do these things. Try to clean the computer and change the yahoo password and make it different from any other site passwords. Also, tell her to clean the cookies each time when using in public places and Don't click the links sent by anyone that ends in .php or .html links in the message.
Are you sure it was hacked? Or was just her email address used as the return address?
I highly doubt my mom would get a trojan. I've realized this is a Yahoo wide issue.
Does anyone know anything about the Yahoo XSS? Does anyone know how the hi-jacking works? Because I would assume that if the accounts are hi-jacked through an exploit, the hackers probably don't have access to the actual password?Code:http://thenextweb.com/insider/2013/03/06/despite-its-efforts-to-fix-vulnerabilities-yahoos-mail-users-continue-reporting-hacking-incidents/
