'Revenge Porn' Website Has Women Outraged

A website operated from Colorado Springs that harvests hundreds of nude and explicit pictures and then displays them on the site has Colorado women outraged after their most private photos showed up unexpectedly on the website.

"It was definitely shocking," said Sarah, a 20-year-old Denver resident who took revealing photos for her boyfriend who had moved out of state.

But suddenly, her private photos showed up on the website and were linked with her Facebook profile.

"I wanted to throw up," said Sarah. "I couldn't even understand how something like that could become public."

Sarah suspects someone hijacked the pictures from her Photobucket account that was connected to her cellphone.

nobody should be surprised, not even for a second, if any of the pics he/she takes, go public later
if someone is that concerned about his/her pics getting shared publicly, he/she'd better not to take any pics at all
he/she can have all kind of rights to those pics, if they're being shared, they're being shared, he/she cannot do anything about it anymore

not to mention other factors to consider before taking those photos: your camera/computer/phone can get stolen/lost/hacked and you don't even have to have those pics uploaded anywhere online, you're already out of control

Agree with you totally about people choosing their own actions. My point is (and I havent looked at the site but I understand the genre), Most of these videos are of young impressionable girls who made a bad call in the heat of the moment. Its not like they had to set up a studio shoot. Guy can pull a camera phone out in 5 seconds and go "come on it will be fun" or "dont worry I will delete it after we watch it". Hell camera phones are so small and silent these days theres a good chance a girl wouldnt even know shes being filmed.
