I'd prefer a decenWP membership script. Simple will do. I used to run amember a few years back. I have looekd around and some of them seem a bit pricey for what I need.

Any suggestions?

I'd recommend checking out Cart66 or DigitalAccessPass.

I too would go for cart66, simple to use and competitively priced. I have been using it for a while and very happy with it.
