The owner of http://Youtube-Boost.com contacted me thru Skype on January 24th and solicited his Youtube service. Long story short: he couldn't offer me a better price than my current provider and so I declined. He blocked me and then contacted my provider and sent him a false transcript - whatever! hah

Anyhow, I just logged into my paypal and saw that a payment of $20 was sent to him (picture attached). I did a quick google search and found that one of his profiles here on BHW has been banned. http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackha...boost-com.html

Does anyone know if he is a current member here and what his username is? I'm trying to figure out how he got into my account LOL!

can you elaborate on how he hacked your paypal ? Did you share any details with him, subscibe to any service, opt in to anything ?

You need to be getting this sorted with paypal straight away.

I doubt he can hack your PP....I guess you are subscribed for his service. Have a look at your automatic payments (or next month he will get $20 more).

The police will simply say this is a billing dispute not theft. I also seriously doubt that he hacked your PayPal account. Did you contact Paypal?

It's really tough for me to agree when you say that someone hacked into your PayPal and sent $20 to his account. It looks like a total bullsh*t. I am saying this because unless you share your password and account details with someone, then how can someone hack into your account. Moreover, I kinda agree with some guys who commented prior to me that you might have subscribed to some service. I have seen people losing more than $500 because they had subscribed to some service. Please unsubscribe to that service and try contacting PayPal because they are the person you need to contact. Avoid going to police because they are not going to help you in this case.

I can tell you what happened:

1. If it was an automatic payment for a subscription service, it would've come with a Billing Agreement ID.

2. The only conceivable way for him to hack his way through and into your account is (1) proxy from your current location and (2) using your password, which is a common password that you used to register to one of the websites that he owns. He simply took your password and tried it in PayPal to see if it worked, and succeeded.

3. Unless you are lying (no accusations intended) you are entitled to file an authorized transaction claim, change your password, wait for PayPal to investigate, and recover your money.

Can't you dispute for unauthorized payment anyway if you really want that $20 back?

Why don't you call paypal and see what IP addresses your account recently logged in from? They record that, a Payapl rep told me that once.

yeah they do record all ips, but as soon as you log into your paypal account from an unrecognized ip you are asked security questions (bank or creditcard #) unless you didnt have these on your account then possibly he got your password from some database of a site you used to frequent. Call paypal and see what they can do.

Lol do not contact the Police over 20$ seriously, Most likely you filled out something where you subscribed to him for the 20$ and payment was auto paid, or you logged in bad paypal site where it retrieved your password when you typed it in. Just file a dispute against the 20$ that was sent to him. paypal will be the judge dealer on this. Or possibly you downloaded something and got keylogged/trojaned.

If I would be you I would clean and delete my cookies with ccleaner and if you have a notebook then just use internet from there, from your own home, so the connection is safe, open your PayPal and change your password. I think you probably bought it without knowing, I guess that if he is smart like to hack your account, he would send his stolen money to a fake account, then idk, add that money to another payment processer and move it to his account.

It is just paypal subscription IMO... lol.. hacked...

I despair.

If it's hacked... for twenty bucks.... change everything, consider it a lesson, move on. Be fortunate it wasn't an important amount of money.

Odds are, it's not hacked, and you forgot about a bill.

op subbed to a service, did not like it and wnted a refund or something. The other guy says no, OP gets mad and uses leverage(other guy banned) to make it seem like he was hacked.

No I didn't. Re-read the thread in its entirety. In regards to the situation, I'm not that worried about it. I have never sent this contact a payment nor subscribed to a subscription. It baffles me but at the end of the day its just $20 and not worth much of my time. Just thought I'd see if he had another account here because he contacted me from BHW and his company acct. is banned. O well thanks for the feedback

I think this guy trapped you by phishing. Try to remember if you received any mail from paypal. You clicked the link to login.
This is very common. I receive such a mails every week. And I also get to listen to such complains nearly daily.
As of now do the following:
1. Open a dispute in paypal
2. Change your account password.
3. Scan your system of any malware or spyware

I am an Information Security professional

I really doubt it was hacked..

You can ask me what I did when I lost 7000 usd in a night )
(around a year ago)


Someone very trusted (eg, workin for me for 3 years pr more) "stole" from me (because they had many problems and they were starving, but still) 900 usd last month.)

And this was the first time someone stole from me a serious amount)
