Default Decreasing Alexa rank using iframes ?

    Hello,

I have been reading on many webmaster forums that 1x1 px iframe traffic can reduce Alexa rank and was curious about it, hence I decided to give it a shot.

I had an unused domain which I used for this, the alexa rank for this was NA. Now I set up the iframe on a site of mine which has a high traffic and an alexa rank of 60,000.

I set up a test site on the unused domain and installed Analytics on it. The iframe from the high traffic site was pointed at it.

Here is the code I put,
    PHP Code:
    <iframe src="hxxp://testsiteDOTcom" width="1" height="1"></iframe
    Result:

It has been over 2 weeks and the test site has got thousands of hits but the Alexa rank hasn't changed, it still shows NA.

    Why hasn't the rank changed ? What I'm I doing wrong ?

    Please do help.
    Regards.

Thank you for the quick reply.

How long more should I wait ?
And does this method actually work ?

Don't think that works. Basically traffic from Alexa Toolbar installed browsers is counted. Otherwise Alexa does not know, if you visit that page (or your customers).
So you have to let Alexa KNOW about the traffic. Either "fake bots", faking the useragent and sending the Alexa-coded string to Alexa, or use traffic-exchange websites, which
    offer Alexa-Toolbar surfing sites.
