I use my iPad for sending my spam... LOL. Wanna know this one also.
Nope but I use my Surface, throw my iPad away, well, have it away. All my shit is synced and free office means I,can get shit done as well as using it as a consumption device. Looking at getting a smaller tablet/kindle for longer reads though.
I spent a lot of time looking at tablets to help with my IM work and I very quickly ruled out every iPad on the market for a few reasons-
1) Your locked down to 'apple approved' applications - and more often than not in the IM world you have to tweak things to get them to work how you want, not possible with Apple devices.
2) Looking at a purely hardware/technical specification point of view you don't get much for your money
3) To make full use of it, you would need an external keyboard of some type. Although iPad's do have some of the best keyboard addons I've seen they often cost $100-$150 on top of the already overpriced iPad.
4) Battery life was awful
In the end I settle for an Asus Transformer Pad which offered the best of both tablet and notebook worlds and the keyboard is actually a 16 hour battery as well.
Having played with my friends Surface recently I can also recommend that! Whatever you get, make sure it has a 10 inch screen, the smaller ones don't cut it
ipad is good for experiencing iOS in large screen. The games are great but if you are using it for IM then its only good if you have some regular following to whom you always connect to through Twitter, Facebook or Email. So it helps there
If you are doing offline marketing then iPad is the best thing to go for as your offline clients can get impressed by your professionalism of projecting your thoughts in the form of presentation.
You can go for Galaxy Note II as of now as its the best thing for IM. I use it personally and it's very handy when you are out of desk.
I use a tablet and a smartphone not for IM activities, but for surfing websites that distract from my IM activities. Sites such as Facebook, Twitter and forums are timewasters for me and should be accessed only during my leisurely or free time.
I also use them for reading ebooks and watching videos related to IM.
I don't really use a tablet for IM but I do have an iPad and a Nexus and I prefer the Nexus much more, and its much, much cheaper!
not using ipad but iphone as it is smaller, mostly just for teamviewer to access my home/office computer when I'm going out. I use teamviewer on android before but seems it is better on iphone. I also use remote desktop application on it... oh... gaming as well, great to waste my time on a boring circumstance (i.e waiting on bank)
Yeah I tried the Tab 2 but the physical keyboard drew me.
I also hate touchscreen phones with a passion with is really frustrating because the last decent handset to come out with a hardware keyboard was the HTC Desire Z and HTC have stated they will not make another![]()
idk man, i just can't think of anything which could make it more useful than an extra slim notebook, like the Macbook Air or even better, something with Windows
but then again, if people would only buy useful things, we could have a very hard time in IM and a lots of others in the offline word too lol
