I like the saying "you get what you pay for" So, if you want to make money, then yes you have to spend some (even if it is just paying for internet service)

Exactly. I am getting into forms of marketing which require higher costs now, and I am beginning to realize that. But in the end, its all worth it.

That is correct. Saying you made money ONLINE without paying is like saying you don't pay for pu##y. Its impossible to not pay.

Edit: After reading some posts on this thread I take back what I said. You gotta pay one way or another, but it can be done very cheap. Why not invest some money? I poured over $400 of my own money, but it was well worth it.

It is also possible for the poor to get rich by simply following the same formula the rich use. It just takes longer.....

Its not that you cant make anything online without startup capital. What you do with the money you earn is what matters. Investing it is the right thing to do if you want to make more than a few $$ a day

You can make money without money for sure. And you can make big money


I have to agree that money can help to make money, or upscale nonmoney required methods.

But as you ask is it required, then i vote for NO.

I think people tjink you need money to make money, but that just wrong. I would say most of people started to make money without money, and properly investe it to make more.

Library - here in Toronto, you need to bring in your Hydro/Electricity bill to get your library card. Electricity in Canada = not cheap!

as is spending money on tools and traffic and that kind of stuff required because it is obvious that you need internet or a laptop, WiFi or what ever to work online.

and still if you think that way, you can still say that you don't need money to make money, because you can "borrow" a laptop and stay nearby a MacDonald's restaurant for the WiFi.

The point quite simply is, if you need internet access and a computer, you can get it free. No one is going into what times it is available at.

Yep. I was gonna say that. Or at very least you need a state id, and that also costs money. Then once you get on the computer, you need to have something to promote, and for that you need a website, (which also costs money)

Still not true, for one you could use blogger and for two there are places where you can get free .co.uk domains from with free hosting. Last year I made two sites with this method which brought in £3000 a month after 2 - 3 months. The only thing I paid for is my computer and internet, although , I could have gone to the library and used theirs for free, if needed. Other than that if I wanted to make money without spending I could become a rent boy. There are plenty of ways to make money without money.

With $1000 what can you do ?

You can get maybe 3 friends each gets $333 and they do your job 3x more , so 1 week = $3000 profits
Take $2000 in your pocket and $333 pay to all friends for 1 more week, so next week you have $2000 , total $4000 in hands.
And if you put more money in, you make more, you can pay 10 friends to work under you and take money.

As you see, you started with $0 and ended up with $xxxx or $xxxxx

When i first started i had zero. I used free hosts and free domains and when money started rolling in, i paid for everything so the answer to the question is NO although its obvious that investing money will help you make more.

I think both answers are correct.

You CAN make money without spending money. You can write articles, do social media marketing, and manual SEO link building.

However, if you ever want to see "the big bucks" you will have to spend money to scale your plans and use your time efficiently.

If you are new to IM, you should try to learn how to generate profits without spending too much money.
If you have been in the game for awhile, you should be spending your money on business plans/methods that will give you a higher ROI.

Oh sorry, silly me, I must be skint as I do not have a membership here. I would take a very good guess that I make just as much if not more than the majority of people commenting on here.

And here is a simple fact, if I open a blogger blog and use free internet access and make money, I have made money with no money. That is plain and simple logic, and anyone who tries to argue against this plain and simple fact, must be a few cans short of a six pack.

If I start uploading videos scraped and downloaded with free plugins for firefox on a few accounts I manually made and lock'em with PPD the grand total of my expenses is a fat ZERO and still I'll have a net profit, especially if I work with the RIGHT content. Unless we wanna start a lingo feud about whether we consider our OWN time on researching, coding, commenting/uploading/content creation strictly as "money value" I would say it doesn't necessarily require money to make money. Period. On the other hand scaling (in general demanding to a 3rd party) most definitely will, whether in form of extra servers, proxies, bulk manual labor and so forth...
