So basically I am trying out a new method by using depositfiles. I am basically finding new songs and downloading them then uploading to the program, starting a youtube video with song and sharing the files on there for download. Can I get into trouble doing this because I see a lot of people doing that on YouTube. Thanks!

No you should not, you video will get removed and account banned to broke copyright on youtube, but this is maximum what can happen to you, as you not host any thing, only share link to download.
Apart from it using ppd or content locking will make you much more money then few$ which you receive per 1000 downloads

You won't get in trouble but be preparing so spend a fare few bucks on testing and making mistakes.
