Well, I was just surfing around WF(My Bad) and I found this from reputed WF War Room member. Is that guy insane? ::FACEPALM::

As far as I know the Web 2.0's do pass link juice to their sub domains so its definitely useful to build web 2.0s right?

Someone please embed the image. I cant do it since I dont have that privilege here.

In a way he's right. A tumblr sub domain does not have as much link juice as the tumblr homepage.

But that doesn't mean it's useless. The tumblr sub domain can build up it's pr as well and become a high pr domain.(I think.)

having your link on
tumblr.com will obviously be better than having it on like, funny.tumblr.com/
but that doesn't mean funny.tumblr.com is useless.

Actually in a way he's still wrong, because new Tumblr/blog pages have PRNA, not PR0. Technically speaking, he's right about nothing.

erm he's kinda right, pages have page rank hence the name.

The web 2.0 pages can of course have PR if it has been passed on.

The real issue though is, who cares about page rank? A strong link which will make a difference in the SERPs has nothing to do with page rank.

Yea I guess. In my opinion, no link is useless. Unless if they have a robots no follow text.

I built pretty good SEO from squidoo and tumblr links. Many tumblr pages have a submit button for submitting shit, I would just submit photos related to the blog, and perma link it back to my website.

When people reblog/like the photo I get pretty good SEO benefits.

It will only be a matter of days before they become PR0 and PR will then be re-calculated constantly but we only get an indication of the PR when the tool bar update happens.

The thing is that the guy shared Web 2.0 list and this guy is saying its useless to post on Web 2.0s just because your sub domain doesnt get a PR 9. I mean we dont post on Web 2.0s due to that. We do it for the link juice and the authority right..So i think the statement given by that WF member is wrong..or maybe I am wrong..

It's not worthless, those pages will have authority which is important when building links.

If you care about PR then some will have PR.

The guy from WF is definitely wrong. And WF is known for being dumb asses. It's worse the dp. WF sells shit ebooks no one needs for high prices. That's the only reason why i'd ever join WF. To sell ebooks.

Anyways would you be able to share those links with your fellow bhw members?

hehe.

:)
