Yahoo Sues Facebook

They waited until it was worth billions before they decided they owned it. Seems to me that someone's intellectual property rights have been violated, and I'm wondering which executives are going to prison.

"Facebook's entire social network model, which allows users to create profiles for and connect with, among other things, persons and businesses, is based on Yahoo!'s patented social networking technology," Yahoo claims in the lawsuit, filed yesterday in US District Court in Northern California.

These IP lawsuits within the technology sector always have such great timing. It's already so blatantly obvious, they might as well wait for FB to go public and then siphon some of that shareholder money!

Even though I know they won't but damn I hope yahoo wins, fucking hate fagbook.

Sounds to me like Yahoo is suffering financially.

FB is screwed. How sweet of Yahoo to nail them before the IPO. Old schoolers will remember this is how Jobs and Gates started their careers. Stole technology from their employers, tweaked it and called it their own. Then they formed alliances with all the biggest software developers, stole there code, broke the contracts after they got the original code and made billions while tying up courts in lawsuits and appeals from the original coders. Sounds like Mark did his homework on how to be the next Bill Gates or Steve Jobs.

Surely MySpace have a bigger case to sue
