I have just watched probably one of the most touching documentaries I have ever seen and it has inspired me to share this with as many people as possible. I know that this forum is about trying to help people succeed in making as much money as possible. This is to purely raise awareness about this issue and I am not, nor is the video asking for you to donate anything.

The site is generating massive traffic at the moment and the servers are currently overloaded. This is massive. The world is changing and you guys can help make a difference. You people know how to spread the word quickly utilizing social networks.

I know you guys are busy and your time is precious. Please take 30 minutes out of your day to watch this and share it with as many people as possible. Joseph Kony needs to be stopped. If you haven't heard of this guy, please watch the video to understand the terrible crimes he has commited.

If this video inspires even one other person to share this or do something to help this cause, then I will be happy and have done what I have set out to do.

Hard to watch. Brings it home that there are real people suffering on this planet, not just stats from the evening news. These are human beings. But I guess as long as we are being fed Lady Gaga and The Xfactor, everything is just fine and dandy right? This world is in a mess.

I agree. The point here also is to try and get celebs to recognise this and use their fame to make him known by millions of people. Make him known, make people recognise what he has done, make people get in touch with their local council etc to help this issue be raised and gain full support by governments, US & International. Otherwise the troops that are there helping the Ugandan forces will be pulled out. The troops in there are helping them track him down using technology and resources that they just don't have or lack.

How the fuck does it help by me knowing who he is? Unless I'm willing to go over there if there is a nice bounty on him.
 
$30 a pop for the action kit and a viral campaign that's spreading like wildfire. That's going to bank some serious cheese.

You have the power to spread the word. The more who know, the more powerful the operation will become.

The facebook page 'Invisible Children' has just had over 16k likes in 20 mins i've counted. Superb!

It took 9 years for this movie to become viral.

It has taken a few decades for people to know who this monster is. I say...send in Team 6 and get rid of him.

If you watch the video, this is all explained. By making him known more people are likely to get into contact with their local council. This will raise the issue with your local council and notes will be taken. If there's a flood of concern about this, then it will be taken higher - to the government.

There are 100 US Advisors in Uganda training the Ugandan forces at the moment. They are at threat of being taken out of Uganda. Without these advisors the Ugandan forces will be lacking the technology and the knowledge to track this war criminal down. With the issue being raised, there is a better chance that they will stay there and aid them in their mission.

If you had children, would you want your son or daughter to become a victim of this man? He takes children, forces them to kill their own parents. They boys become child soldiers and the girls become sex slaves. This hasn't happened over night. This has been happening for 26 years and he has done this to over 30,000 children. He needs to be stopped - it has gone on for too long.

Proud to say I'm a part of Kony 2012. This is going to go ultra viral, more than it already has.

I think this video is going to break records for how fast it spread the word. I can't wait to see what is going to happen on April 20th, I know I will do my part. It's pretty inspirational how just one guy started this.

This really shows the power of Facebook and the Internet.
 
I can't wait to see how viral this goes over the next couple of days. I think it'll be a bit like this year's Arab Spring, an affirmation that if the collective power of will and communication technology combine, anything is possible.
 
This would make a great e-book, 'Internet Millions Overnight'.

1. Pick third world warlord no one has heard about
2. Make a sad video and use social media to spread your word
3. Give people a false sense of political hope
4. Sell 'action kits' and get donations
5. Profit

As far as I can tell, their charitable efforts are not the greatest. This is just a testament that people do genuinely believe everything they see on their facebook feed.

Invisible Children has been condemned time and time again. As a registered not-for-profit, its finances are public. Last year, the organization spent $8,676,614. Only 32% went to direct services (page 6), with much of the rest going to staff salaries, travel and transport, and film production. This is far from ideal, and Charity Navigator rates their accountability 2/4 stars because they haven?t had their finances externally audited. But it goes way deeper than that.
