Hell, I would've killed for some Vicodin. Not a drug addict by any means, but they fuck me up for no reason compared to other shit.
Anyways...
I rebounded and started eating solids (soft buffalo chicken tenders) by day 3.

I had all four of mine cut out while being awake. My surgeon wasn't qualified for general anesthesia. Hearing the cracking of the teeth before they pulled them out...still haunts me.

I was also given Vicodin. Had a friend in the Army though and he was given Percocet.

Agreed. Vicodin 7.5 is stronger to me than Lortab 10. I'm on Lortab 10 right now for a busted eardrum, and they don't seem to help as much as the Vicodin does.

Ugh! My dentist PULLED one of mine out each week for 4 weeks. Of course I didn't know any better at the time so I thought that's how everyone did it lol.

I only got aspirin too. Worst month of my life lol!

Lol you guys must have had oral surgeon's that loved you. They prescribed me oxycodone 5mg which did absolute piss.

Just dont pull too hard when you smoke and you'll be good. I was extremely nervous about this as well but no dry sockets. Smoked damn near a pack a day cause of how high I was on the pills.
And Id call the dentist first thing tomorrow and say you need some better pills cause your face kills, he'll call you one in. Just don't get addicted...
Other than that don't eat what makes you uncountable.
Relax and heal fast fellow blackhater.

I just had one of mine pulled a few weeks ago, I didn't eat for 48 hours just to be safe with the healing. Didn't drink anything for 24 hours either, just too paranoid. Put some moist teabags over the socket at night, I slept with them in and it seemed to help everything stay good, not sure if it really did or if I was just imagining it. Don't think it could hurt anyways. I didn't get any prescriptions, just took a couple tylenol and was good. But it was just 1 tooth and it came out pretty good. Good luck healing, try to cut out the smoking though for a day.

yeah ive been trying not to smoke, they took all 4 teeth at once. I was supposed to get them takin out when i was 18, but I got locked up and taken off health insurance. So 6 years later finally gettin them done. I will definitely be tring to get somethin better and more, because i got 12 measley vics out the deal.

You don't have street doctors where you live? Most are happily on call 24/7 for the right price.

Excuse me for my ignorance but why would you have them pulled out? Don't they come out by themselves? That's what happened with my brother

Mine cracked and so the nerves were exposed to the open air/water/food etc and it caused me great pain. I had one removed 3 years ago, and then the other tooth underneath grew in a few months later. I had my second one removed in December, and the dental assistant said my other tooth is still under there and should probably pop up eventually.

You eat too much candy? :p

Just kidding.

Why risk it when you can get a prescription called in in the morning?. Cheaper too! :D

That was a joke. I actually went to the Walmart nurse practitioner the first time...they don't prescribe pain medicine there. Half the damn doctors in my town won't prescribe pain medicine (due to too many addicts? I dunno). I don't buy pain pills on the street. My ENT specialist hooked me up. Still healing. Not sure of the progress, but if I'm not better in two weeks, I have to have surgery.

For me, my orthodontist wouldn't put my braces on until all mine were removed. When they break the skin, they can cramp your mouth more. I had braces for 5 years and had to have 4 more teeth after that pulled. I was a snaggletooth lol.

The main reason they usually remove wisdom teeth though, is because they are hard to reach and decay faster as a result from lack of brushing. That's what I'm told, at least.

Ah okay.. Well I'm glad my wisdom teeth haven't come out and I hope they don't ever do.. I've heard that in many cases they don't.. Is that true?
