NON Full Time Internet Marketers - What Do You Do For A Living?
I own an expedited trucking and logistics business and I make bank in my industry but internet marketing is seriously too cool.
Reason why I'm here is because I started blogging back in 2006 just as a hobby and over the years I slowly started to realize that you could make money from it.
I only really tried to start monetizing on the net since 2009 but now it's turned into an addiction. After I leave my office, it's off to my other office at home to feed my addiction
I'm still learning so I'm not making much money at it but its fun as hell.
What do the rest of you do for days jobs and what brought you here?

I used to test drive tanks for the military and got laid off after the end of the Iraq war, so now I calibrate scales and I hate it, hence the desire to make money online and quit the scales job.

Re: NON Full Time Internet Marketers - What Do You Do For A Living?
I was working in a call center making like $17 a hour. I have alot of years into my 401k so I will probably start working again for the heck of it, but I;m going into the lawyer field, going to try as a paralegal first then work my way up then take the bar test.
Im in school now. Got 1 year left for paralegal then will transfer school and work as paralegal on the side.
Personally I made alot of money in IM but its not going to last long, and I get bored easily and I dont mind working a job as long as it something I enjoy such as helping up other people, "lawyer"...lol

"lawyer field"? You mean you're going to work in law. You'd learn pretty fast in law school that it's called "law" and not "lawyer field".
Also, after the first bit of written work you handed in with "alot" in it you'd be corrected and realize it's not a word.
No point trying to impress people here, buddy. If you want to pretend you're a lawyer at least learn the lingo and use real words instead of made-up ones.

I never said I were a lawyer now, i stated that is what im working towards. And the way i type and my grammar online is different from offline.
I type fast and am very unthoughtful of my grammar when i do type in forums.
Just like the newspapers. You know newspaper grammar is on 7th grade level on purpose because most who read only have 8th grade level of education.
Who cares how my grammer is online in forums when only .001% will care and the other percentage can read and understand what I'm saying

Re: NON Full Time Internet Marketers - What Do You Do For A Living?
Own a digital design agency, i employee about 2 people and we do web and graphic design, app development, seo, social media marketing for businesses all over UK. Reason why im in the internet marketing game bacasue i make my clients money all year round and thought it would be a good idea if i have a side project to make some extra money! I only do white hat seo on the site and the dream is to be able to use this side project to fund my adventures around the world!!! You see i want to travel!
The best thing what i love about IM is that when i am sleeping i am making money! Unlike my agency business what does take the energy out of me, hopefully it will be a success in a few years! i have 1 massive client and that is what is helping me to push for success!!

There's a difference between consciously writing at the 8th grade level and writing with words that don't exist. You aren't writing at the 8th grade level, you're writing in a random messy way. 8th grade level writing should still have perfect grammar. I don't know why people think 8th grade level means you write like an 8th grade who can't write, lol.
I write differently on forums than I do when writing formally too, but I don't suddenly forget how to write and start using incorrect words and grammar. It's an age-old excuse that holds no merit. It's like someone who cooks a bad meal saying "Oh, I'm actually a chef, but I just cook differently when I'm not working"
I just think it's lame you claim you're in law school when your writing ability is on par with a 6th grader at best. To get into law school you need a high reading/writing ability. You just wouldn't have the qualifications to get in if you think "alot" is a word. The moment you handed in a paper in high school with that your teacher would have corrected you, and if you were lawyer material you'd have taken it on board, but the fact you think "alot", among other things is a word it shows me you've had very little education. I've never met any lawyers with no education
