once youve had one of these malwares on your pc, you start looking at the downloads sections here and elsewhere in a very different light - i.e. youre SUSPICIOUS AS FUCK about everything and anything you download.
had the same thing happen to me last year with a simlar malware and the only thng that saved my head from exploding was that i use firefox as my primary browser and the malware was targeting Internet Explorer.
WORD: anybody who reading this who hasnt got at least TWO different types of browser on their pc is asking for trouble as the malware stops you from going online to find out what you need to find out from an experts forum by choking off Internet Explorer and then hits you with multiple pop up windows that look like official Microsoft warnings telling you youve got X number of Trojans clocking up before your very eyes.
Sooooo.... if you havent already installed a second browser, go and do it as soon as you finish reading this page.
Internet Explorer is already there, go and get yourself Firefox & Chrome, then just use Firefox as your main browser and take advantage of all the fantasic add-ons.
anyway, back to the original problem, i found these simple instructions if the o.p.'s problem hasnt beeen solved, copied from YAHOO ANSWERS of all places:

Hey, this is a virus, I have had this before, this is how I got rid of it, not as complicated as its looks lol
firstly you have start up your computer up in “safe mode with networking” you do this by shutting down your computer and switching it back on and constantly pressing f8 until you come to a screen that has options and you select 'safe mode with networking' By doing this the virus can't interfere with what you are doing. The page will load up (1-2 mins) and then you will log on as usual (the screen might be bigger and look different, this is fine) (if you can't get on safe mode just do it on normal mode)
Now download this to scan your computer, it’s the best virus remover you can get for free
link to malware bytes:
Code:
http://downloads.cnet.co.uk/view/security-software/malwarebytes-anti-malware-39282203/
(If link doesn't work type 'malware' in the search box and click on the first one ''malware bytes'')
It’s a reputable website that my internet company uses and this has helped me tons of times before. Download it (the latest version) and run it (it’s free) (you might have to disable your pop up blocker at the top of the screen when downloading, right click, download)
Perform quick scan (should take 10 to 20 mins)
View results
Remove all
(CLICK NO TO RESTART COMPUTER)
Go on quarantine (4th from the right column)
Then delete all
Then restart your comp
Have done this many times, works every time and can remove anything, email me with any problems
Good luck
