My landlord owes me money, lies and says he sold the house in jan when I last saw him and requested the long promised repairs.
These men were not arrested or detained ... They were just questioned. The police told me that it was a tenent /landlord issue. Yesterday the dude in the vest tricked me into letting him in where he scoped the place , he told me (lied) he was the new landlord. He demanded money w/out a receipt . I finally got the balls to start recording on my phone . I have the audio of him jacking my lease. I was so stunned all I could do was stare at the wall all night.
The muscle (Muslim dude who called himself Akeem) posing as my new landlord threatened me with every tactic in the book before tucking my lease agreement in his coat leaving me claimless for 24 hours until I caught him on tape with audio telling his goon to kick my door down and I have money in there. next time they enter your home shoot them. you showed this shit to the cops and they did nothing ? If anyone tries to break down your door you legally can shoot to kill .

Also let your landlord and police know that you are feeling threatened by these people who were trying to break in and intent to use the castle doctrine in order to protect yourself from serious threat of life. Ask the police to review your video and ask for a supervisor.

Then go get a nice handgun at least a .38 and take some safety lessons at the shooting range. Make sure you record any other attempts of breaking an entry if they are trying to wait until they enter your home as soon as they step through the door the ohio law allows the stand your ground rule. Meaning you do not have to retreat you can just start blasting away at anything at everything that moves.

you can also call a lawyer , but I would get a gun these guys could have beaten or killed you , robbed you ,etc. Shoot to kill !

Yeah the fact that you have this on tape and you have to ask confuses me...You tell the police that someone fraudulently posed as your landlord to try and get into your house and were in danger - if someone tells you to shove off you call again and again till its dealt with

You really should have demanded to speak to the officers supervisor.

Even if he's the landlord, he has to provide you with advanced notice that he's entering the property... Unless you have no actual agreement with him, or there are details that you're leaving out. You should have also been notified of the change of ownership. If it was sold to somebody else, any money that your previous landlord owes you is between you and him.

If the cops are right, visit the tenant's office. If they're not, call back and hope you talk to someone else. You can always call next time they show up and say somebody's breaking and entering. You could also send it to your local news station. A lot of them have a consumer advocate segment and would love a video of a landlord banging down the door of a tenant. If there's really no reason.

Either way, get out of there.

this is nuts.. at this point you really have to take the matter seriously. cause a fuss with the police, not so much as to get yourself arrested, but enough so that they have no choice but to investigate further. refuse to leave the station until they do. after all, your possessions and possibly even your life could be in danger! grab this situation by the BALLS! you have to!

Until this, if anyone enters with force, shoot to kill. Scary, but you have to protect yourself.

Go to the police again. Insist strongly that they take action. Make it look very serious.

If that fails, get the advice of a layer of how you can make the police take action.

If that fails, go find another place. The suggested alternative that you shoot them is good for the ego boost but you 'll be running around in courts and you 'll be hiding for the next 5 years from fear that their relatives might want to extract revenge. Of course, if they do threaten your life, you better have that gun handy, as a deterrent.

There are laws prohibiting even the landlord/owner of the property from entering your premises! I would call an attorney and state to them that the cops did nothing to them from threatening you! I think you could get a lawsuit for this!

A landlord does not just demand money for no good reason, that is clearly bad business.

You have honestly done something to piss him off and in situations where money is involved, it does not matter if it's $5 or $10,000 if someone feels cheated then they are going to make sure that they get revenge.

If someone was squatting in my house they better be worried for there life. All I'm saying is becareful instead sit down with your landlord and try to resolve this.

If all you said is true, file charges, load the video up on the web, build a site asking why the police wont arrest the assailant, link the video to the site, send a press release out about how a crime victim cant get help from the police, then get a lawyer and sue.

Go get a few of your friends, go to your landlords residents and whip his ass. That's what i would do personally, I don't use police for things like that only time police involved is after the fact but that's just me. It all depends on what u believe and how you were raised if you were raised to call the police in the time of trouble then by all means.

I watched the video and the only problem I seen was you never came out and told them to move the F**K on. When they don't move on then you hit the closest one in the head with a brick and then scale up. Problem solved.

I have lived here since oct 15th. I was promised free utilities like 15%
of the other properties around here. Guess what I got free utilities till dec 21.
I was told I couldn't move in until the new carpet was installed and the place was painted. Day 1 I paid all the way up to dec 1st. To property manager #1

Dec 19 I met my actual landlord John Zorn who was in the process of leaving fliers on tenant's doors. After talking with him (seemed to be a nice guy , older man 65-70 ) I try give him my pitch for taking over the management position. The only thing he saw was my unfinished carpet job (carpet nails at the edge of the wall in 2/3 of the house, kids can't enter this house for that reason. ) Ironically I was prejudged by his lack of information, like he didn't respect me for letting his property manager
fuck me over while telling me war stories of how shady the old guy was. (Peter Gunn ) I am starting to suspect that my landlord isn't really , or has no intentions of pressing charges on his close friend who he claimed stole tens of thousands from.

I am actually ahead on rent I have signed receipts that take me to Jan 15 which was paid on Dec 19th even though I paid dec rent and owed this old man with the sob story . He told me the people who pay late are the last to get repairs. So I figure hey I will pay him half of Jan's rent 15 days early , I will be at the top of the list I am finally getting my new carpet/paint. WRONG !!!
