    Default FBI Admits Anonymous’s Eavesdropping

Here's the intercepted conference call between the FBI and the Scotland Yard back in January:

Quite entertaining how a bunch of kids are capable of doing anything they see fit. No surprise why these agencies are not so popular, these agents seems to be total douchebags.

Wouldn't it be better to raise money for his legal defense if he is extradited to the U.S., instead of hacking websites and eavesdropping on phone calls?

it would be or wouldn't be better...they're just doing they do the best - just like us here - and raising money for legal defenses is not their priority

it's just speculation of course, but in this case they intercepted the information before the arrests took place, so they might have had time to escape to a country with no extradition treaty to the US, there are really nice countries amongst those, like Slovenia, Montenegro, UAE, Maldives etc.

What makes them total douchebags? To me they sound like normal dudes who are just trying to do their jobs.

I kind of doubt that nerdy shut-in teenagers who live in their parents basement have the resources, connections, or testicular fortitude to just flee their home countries and start fresh in some foreign land. This is real life, not some movie.

maybe it's just my healthy unsympathy towards law enforcement agencies and governments, they sound so proud catching some teenagers like those kids would be the most dangerous criminals on the planet and in the process they manage to blow the whole operation

more than likely you're right and they don't have any of that, but they don't have too many options either if they don't want to end up spending a few years in a US prison/correctional facility or wherever they usually put these kids

what anon did was a clear message to the feds: we are capable of doing things which make you look like a bunch of amateurs

The FBI was using unencrypted, unsecure communication, that should be fairly easy to monitor. Anonymous earns bragging rights when they can monitor secure lines in use by the CIA,not doing something that anyone that is willing to read up a little bit can do.

Looks like they got the call in number and passcode somehow. With all the FBI emails out there on pastebin it could be easy for one of those guys to get infected and leak shit from their network.

Who knows? Maybe Anon has all FBI infos

Yeah Honeybird you are mixing up two different Anonymous' one that is a group of script kiddies and another which are professional hackers who the abilities of scare the hell out of me. Also they were using an unsecure calling service - this wasn't anything that was too sensitive. It's about Ryan Cleary the 19 year old Sony Hacker and arresting the others that worked with him - not exactly national security.
