yes, you will find that many people start off their Google search with something broad.

    Flowers

    if that doesnt work then:

    Flowers in Liverpool

    if that doesnt work then:

    Buy flowers in Liverpool

    if that doesnt work then:

    "Buy flowers in Liverpool"

If you have an EMD like buyflowersinliverpool.com then you have a small advantage when it comes to ranking the site to make money from adsense.

When searching for keywords with the Adwords tool, you can specify:

    Broad

    or

    "Exact"

Broad being : Buy flowers in Liverpool
Exact being : "Buy flowers in Liverpool"

You can use this information to help decide if your going to attempt to rank for this keyword.

What is used to identify an exact search is the brackets symbol or [ ]. The quotes or " " are called a phrase search, which restricts the search to the words within the quotes, but includes variations. Keywords within [ ] restricts the search to those words, in only that arrangement.

A search for [flowers in Liverpool] should yield only results containing flowers in Liverpool.

A search for "flowers in Liverpool" should yield results containing the words flowers in Liverpool, including Liverpool in flowers, etc.

I see. & Thanks.. my doubt was what is the different of this technique than just use the keyword research tool by google, which already have a tickbox for broad & exact

"this is exact keyword" = competition number in google (the lower, the fewer marketers are going after the keywords, the easier it will be for you to rank it).

this is exact keyword = exact keyword

this exact keyword = broad keyword (only part of the keyword is used)

another sample of this is exact keyword almost = phrase keyword (has the keywords in exact sequence, but might have extra keywords)
