The very active political community at Reddit has been the driving force behind getting a lot of the SOPA protests going, including the Wikipedia blackout. Now Lamar Smith has just introduced an even worse bill to the house, manipulating people by saying it's about child pornography, when really it's a total violation of all America's privacy, and us at BHW should be particularly concerned.

Here's why:

The bill forces your ISP to keep a record of all of the following, and submit it to the US government:

• Your Name
• Address
• Credit Card Number(s)
• Bank Account(s)
• IP Addresses assigned
• COMPLETE BROWSING HISTORY for 18 months

Sounds terrible, yeah? Same guy who wrote SOPA, and now this.


Well, Reddit is organizing an effort to bomb his SERPS with anti-Lamar Smith sites, and they could really use all of our help.

That is awesome I am just making 200 SENUKE Campaigns to create ~4000 Blogs with Titles of the Articles that explain into what kind of porn he is etc.

A Little Definition

I feel like I should stop replying to him because he is either stupid or trolling, either way no Idea why I bother replying to him.

You can not go to prison for stating your opinion about someone as long as what you're saying does not incite killing or causing harm to said person. I feel this approach that Reddit is taking on the matter is very smart, bombard google with negative links when you search for "Lamar smith". As long as you make clear that what you're saying is a matter of opinion it's fine.

Proof? Politicians, members of congress, heck even the presidents slander other countries or people...so to say you will go jail for it is ludicrous.

Keep on doing it man, we are fighting a good fight against him spreading false propaganda and lies. I'm pretty sure he is not trolling. Probably just a not-so-bright patriotic redneck (judging by the "I have no problem US nuking other countries" comment) with a bit too much time in his hands.

I think you have to put lamar smith along with whatever more HIGHLY SEARCHED terms are associated with him......ie SOPA, PIPA, congress, etc. No sense to bomb lamar smith if hes not getting searched that much, know what i mean?

Yeah I know what you mean, simply use google adwords and other keyword research tools to find out the most popular search term used with his name and viola, we know what to get the websites ranked for.
