ok so after 7 years doing Internet Marketing and seo and doing the whole build a good website with quality unique content and use Google ads or affiliate links make money online thing I think that I quit!

For all this time I have been adding more and more content, paying writers good money to write for my sites and after all this time I cant make more than $10 bucks a day I do not think that I can do this for any more time.

I mean, Adsense ads pay less and less every year, my websites get traffic but there is no growth and nobody buys from my affiliate links.

I do not know about you guys but I have seen very little success online, I thought I was doing all the right things (quality content and lots of it, seo, social media, good monetization) but now that I own 20+ websites with thousands of unique pages and to see that my stats show $4.29 for the whole freaking day I think I give up.

I mean according to my calculations I should have been making $100+ bucks a day by now and not even make $5 bucks today I think that I am in the wrong business.

I honestly think that its getting harder and harder to make any money online and I do not plan on spending more time chasing a fake dream.

A close friend has also quit online marketing. She thought she could build a passive monthly income. But that didn't happen after many years because, she said, the online game keeps changing faster than she could adjust. She says her costs to drive traffic went from a 1-2 hundred dollars to thousands of dollars, yet her Adsense income went down inversely.

Maybe she did a lot of wrong things. I don't know. Now she is going head-long into the local offline marketing consulting arena with a ton of knowledge and know-how. I think she will do really well there.

IM is not just about Adsense.. Why don't you try your luck with CPA? It's much easier.

i also think perhaps you should give something else a shot. there's a lot more way to make money online other than adsense.

I think you must be doing something wrong then. I have one site monetized with Adsense that is only a few months old bringing in $5 to $10 a day.

I have tried cpa and affiliate marketing, same thing, I make a few bucks now and then but not enough to consider it a lucrative business.

Also I believe that G oogle does hate affiliates because its getting harder to rank articles with affiliate links, even if they are nofollow or php redirects.

Sell the sites, reinvest the money in other niche.

1.Get a domain

PRODUCT CREATION IS KEY jUST come up with a physical product buy low sell high and use the techniques you have learned over the years and up your profit your margins. Sounds like to me you just need to move up from weed to Coke my friend

No one can ever get succesful with a bad mindset. If you make your mind say you will fail, you will sure fail.

There has been times many of us have hit $0 with some bad moves, and we did recover. Well, its all up to you.

how well are your articles written? are they seo optimized?
If you get decent traffic, like you said, change the theme.. learn a bit more about monetizing.

To be 100% honest, if you've been doing IM for 7 years solid and can't make more than $10 a day you should really quit.

You should EASILY be able to hit $100 a day after 2 years, and if you're not you're doing something seriously wrong.

So yeah, perhaps a real job is the best option for you at this stage.

try the product creation thing. just give it a shot.

not to be discouraging, but not everyone is going to be good at IM. just like not everyone will be a good singer, soccer player, scientist etc.

i think if after 7 years you haven't succeeded to the point where you'd like, you definitely need to try something else. or take a break, and come back fresh. that might actually help you! you may see things in a different light.

No costs options which you do your own content

flipping websites/domains
physical products fom your own website <<<<<< clickbank can be risky for rankings.
pay per view / content locking
offline marketing for local business

i was going to put in autoblogging......unfortunately you need to outsource at least 50 articles per site and i dont think your up for investing anymore


one thing with internet marketing is to try every egg in the basket and keep getting up if google knocks you down. Which it has been doing to a lot of people lately. Investing time is the key.

buddy maybe your heart is not into it. Eventhough i have made a quite some back in adsense (until i got banned last year for all of my accounts. ). I don't have my own hosting when i use adsense. i have use the free hosting of some hosting sites. byethost, 000webhost, awardspace, blogger, weebly to name a few. I have quit adsense and try something new. im into CPA and affiliate marketing now (clickbank and amazon) and honestly, this is my first time with it. just signed up this month and i LOL at my report. some clicks and no conversion. i might try this for a year or so, and if i fail, i might try PTC or MLM or FOREX. I know you guys spend a lot money from hosting and outsourcing. but since you cant afford it now, try do it yourself. take it 1 site a day or maybe 2. What im trying to say is, if your heart is into it, if a method fails, you'll gonna find something new. be a sponge, absorb all the new trends and learn from it. after a while you think you are ready, venture into it and don't be afraid.

Summary:
If you really want something, you gonna find ways.

It sounds like link building is the weak point in your system. Despite what the gurus will tell you, link building is king. Article distribution and directory submissions won't get you far these days. I'd also assume that your niche sucks in that it is either not profitable or simply too hard to rank for you. You haven't mentioned how many unique visitors you're getting across these sites to make the $10/day. How many uniques are you getting?

this is what i noticed too. i was doing SEO for a website for months and I couldn't get it to rank even though it was PR3. I realized that the adult niche is too difficult to rank because of limitations in terms of backlinking. What did I do? I changed it up and trying something new. Now just waiting for results. I can't see how people can quit, just think what you're doing wrong, and if you can't maybe you don't belong. Nobody said IM is easy.

I guess some people aren't cut out for IM. Maybe you don't have good business sense, or maybe you just haven't put yourself in the right position to make money. One thing is for sure, if you quit, you will never make it in IM.

I have been the same time with him, like longer than that seen the very first day Google launching Adsense and people just make a simple HTML page then just sit back and click on it everyday, you still earn like $500/month. Later things keep going on and on.

You know what waiting for this earth, you guy not fully aware. Let me make an example, when you blowing up an air bubble, the air bubble will expanding, expanding... and you all know what happen in the end...

Its happen the same to Google and Internet, those kind of things not invented by human along.

Let me do it another way for you guy understanding, let say Google is only capable for 10 result on the first page. But everyday, the amount of information people throwing into Internet like TRILLION NEW PAGES every single day.

And you see that, is it getting tough and narrow for just a little spot. Like everybody here want to go by bus and the bus is capable for 50 seats?

Don't give up, definitely try something new... sell your website, try changing your adsense placings on your site. There is so much you can do, just don't give up yet.

Honestly, I don't think you "did" IM for "7 years". If you read the stuff and TAKE ACTION with determination and put effort into it, you would've made money.

Things are going to change as years go by, but you just have to adapt and find new ways.

hey I can make 10buck by sleeping with adsense a day, OP I guess you spend 1 minute per day aren't you? 7 years of IM make 5 buck? How many traffic do you hv?

Come on man dont give up. I just talked to my AM over at one of the networks im with and I got curious and asked him what the top guy was making and he told me he was making 40k a week and then he went on to say that the guy joined to network as a newb but after 7 months of test and tune that is what he is making. So trust me don't quit.

OP, out of everything you mentioned, you forgot to mention the most important thing, KEYWORD RESEARCH. If you are not doing it or not doing it properly you will fail every time unless you just get some dumb luck. G is just a bot, you have to treat it as such and feed it the bullsh*t keywords it wants.

Something does not make sense. I have a 40 page site that consistently brings in $35.00 + for every 1000 visitors.

Unless your traffic is real garbage, there is something wrong. You are right, you should be making more per day than that. A lot more. IF you have real quality products out there. It's almost impossible not to.

DAYME. if i got those results i would have quit in the first year. like everyone have said before me, did you read some adsense optimized ebooks? did you try a different niche? did you try a different method of income like cpa?

I would suggest that you DROP internet marketing for a few weeks or months and then re explore it in the future when you feel like you have cleared your head.

It is very hard to work on somethign that makes you demotivated. Clear your head and get back to it in the future.

dunno about you guys but ever since i started IM up to now i havent had anyone to teach me anything at all and i didnt have any money to invest. dont have any cc havent heard of online payment processors before like paypal. I remember when i started i dont even know how to create gmail account i thought you have to pay for it.

my progress was very slow. even though im on my computer always sleepless learning a lot of things specially from bhw , i think im learning very slow because im not on the always right track

i know for sure that if i had someone to teach me IM id be in good position in under 2 years. im been doing IM for almost 7 years now and im barely making $500 a month. most people i talk to says with my knowledge i should easily make $1k in less than a week, i always say what knowledge? lol

to the OP: you're doing something wrong for sure, maybe you should hire someone to coach you

Well put, I'd have to agree.

You just need to find that red string from the yarn ball, this is my second year i guess and i used first year to study various concept around IM, now at second year i took action at the end of summer and made a site with ~4 pages of self written information and backlinking. It took air under the wings and i started a second site on crhistmas holiday, 4 self written articles on it and it has already done me few bucks Well i have gained my hosting back that's for sure.

I'm making good ~$700 monthly now from 1 site + partially with second site.... I'm now gonna scale this as much as possible so i can invest on other things (offline stuff) cause i'm having a huntch that google is going for the worse for us. After my second site gets $10/day i'm going to set up 3rd site

It is easy really... Making money is extremely easy!

Things you need to check out:
1. What is your exact search ammount for your keywords?
2. Your rankings
3. This forum for backlinking methods

Fire your help and go back to basics. Do IM in your spare time until you find your sweet spot. And read more BHW this time around.
