Do you run Fiverr Clone?
Hi guys, just wondering if you run fiverr clone yourself, how do you handle fake buyers/sellers? Recently I notice that fiverrscript.com offers shipping module which allows seller to post gig that sells physical product along with shipping fee. I'm interested with this script. However, I'm concern with the payment issues such as paypal dispute.
What if there's a fake buyer who send the payment, and a day after the seller sends the item, this fake buyer claims for dispute, asking for refund? Do you have the idea how to protect the seller?
What if there's a fake seller that pretend he/she has sent the item with fake receipt of shipment but later the buyer never receives the item?
With Fiverrscript, the payment is going through the admin PP as a gateway, not directly from buyer to seller like etsy.

I have the same question. I'm planning to run a local fiverr clone but the paypal disputes are a matter of some concern...

Re: Do you run Fiverr Clone?
for physical goods always the seller must have an shipping slip ( upc / fedex provide such services ! even us mail I think have something similar ) ... if the sellers provide the shipping slips then you are quite safe from charge-back part . Well I saw one story on internet before when a buyer was forced to destroy hes violin because of the rules from egay/paypal where the fkers ask to destroy the fake goods lol .
Alternative will be to use some better payment processors ? like moneybookers ? or just try to new comers on the payment processing market like paxum
... they seems to be pretty solid and with sure they need to extend their business into this area too lol . OR if your budget allows just go with your own payment processing LOL . Go to your bank and ask the banker to give you an merchant account with sure most of high streets banks from your region will be able to give you such services pretty well .
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Using payment gateway other than paypal won't be interesting as Paypal has been known and trusted around the world. I understand what you mean, using drop shipping that features tracking service. Unlike etsy where the buyer sends payment directly to seller, fiverr script acts as a gateway, thus making us getting involved in the payment issue.

I have the 7th largest fiverr clone......
99% of my sales are virtual with SEO/SEM products being the biggest sellers. I haven't had a chargeback yet on a physical good

Why don't you add moneybookers/payoneer payment options to your site?
