Can i use dial up alongside my dsl?

Hey everyone, i have dsl internet and the phone is through that company as well, is there a way to use dial up service still without getting a landline?
 
Well according to the cable company all i have to do is disconnect my phone and plug it into my lap top........hmm what a ruse

but you said you dont have a landline?
 
Why not get a separate broadband connection through the cable and company. Then, you can use a Dual-WAN router that will consolidate your 2 connections. Depends on which Dual-WAN router, it can either function as load balancer or consolidate both connections and add up the speed, or perhaps any newer router can do both.

Dial-up is an old technology and slow.
 
cable and dsl are two different broadband connections.

if your internet modem is plugged into a phone jack, then you have dsl.. and if you have phone service with the company, then yeah, you can use your dsl connection and make a phone call/dialup connection at the same time... you'll need a filter, which the phone/dsl company should of provided you.

Hi yes figured out i can take the phone and plug it right into my phone and then use dial up, now what kind of filter do i need?
