** 'Massive' web crime ring smashed **

If the charges are only these, it appears there's no law against getting commissions from redirected traffic. Also I really don't think Estonia has 'wire fraud' laws covering transactions of actual earnings. And finally, many, many ISPs have ad-infested DNS error pages that love to kick in from time to time even if the entered url was correct. And the victims were most likely after stolen porn. The DA would look pretty stupid explaining how the poor creeps were tricked.
